Kathy always knew. Which is why the writers having her dictate that letter to Elliot is so bogus to Kathy's character. She knew Olivia would never step over that line as long as Kathy was still.part of the equation. Unlike Dani and Kathy knew that.

And she had an affair,,, nothing serious but anyway. She walked away. Elliott asked Benson "how do you walk away"',,, right to the person why Kathy walked away. And Benson was not happy with her love life. She's still not but she has Noah. And now she is alone, Rollins is written off,, in december, she's going . That's a heartbreaking piece of news. Captain Benson stays with Ice T/Fin in the squadroom. New faces are welcome but not at any cost.

She dated when they were separated- I never actually figured out if they actually got divorced, he signed the papers but when they got back together nobody mentioned them getting married again. When she got pregnant with Eli, SHE knew he was Elliott’s even if Elliot wasn’t sure.
