how have I not been watching this man's videos until now? I laughed every 10 sec xD

I was trying to make a typical "angry youtube comment" about how Gigguk doesn't understand the end of Great Pretender. Then when I tried to actually explain it...fuck man this is bullshit. All I know is that after 3 rewatches, the ending now makes 5% more sense to me. But hey, I still enjoy it. Almost like seeing modern art and not understanding it one bit, you just enjoy looking at what's in front of you for the fun of doing so.

Main reason Gigguk doesn't have a anime of the year: He watched way too much Hololive and did Podcasts to even have time to really enjoy shows.

I feel like we want to watch something good to motivate us to do better -like how that high after a great show finally makes you get up and finish something you were supposed to, while in a daze thinking about the last episode- and the memory of it sticks in your head like a flashbulb moment; but 2020 wasn’t a year anyone wanted to remember, so we all dulled the pain with repetitive mundane garbage so we won’t have to remember the clusterfuck that is 2020.

I hated how selfish the MC in Rent a Girlfriend was about ignoring the fact it was a job. It's like going to a restaurant, being served dope ass food, then expecting the cook to treat you like his or her child waiting for dinner. "I know you're offering a service that isn't about what you really are (the cook is following an instruction menu, not how (s)he actually cooks at home), but I want you to myself."

He's right, nothing beats a ground pound.

2020 I started watching anime from nostalgic memory.

Glad Re:Zero was tops. Every week was such a roller coaster. And Echidna was best girl (didn't make the connection to Emilia though cause the latter always seemed like the girl a guy was trying way too hard to get who wasn't worth it). I digress, can we talk bout the freakin opening running sequence? I may not have seen nearly as much anime as other addicts, but it was really impressive seeing Subara just drop dead over and over brutally while simultaneously shoving his corpses out of the way with increasing detail on his facial expressions every 2 seconds. And let's not forget how the universe really challenges his famous last, not-last words: Subaru: If it's to save you, I don't care how many times I die! Universe: *cracks knuckles* Anyway, fun vid dude!

I was binging rent a girlfriend anime then after it ended decided read the manga immediately and finished it like in 3 days since that's what i did the whole day. Not really a big fan of romcom but rent a girlfriend really captured me for some reason.
