Rusty is a absolutely one of the luckiest people to have become a member a bigfoot family.

Love this story. I'm from NC and I know the Bigfoot are in NC and SC. Most are nice and just want to be able to survive. I've heard and read many stories about them friending humans. They are people not animals. Bless his Grandfather! He was a special man!

Loved this story, and got chills when Rusty described how he heard their soft whistles while their hairy buddies were hiding in the woods. Same thing happened to me in the Sierra Nevada's some years back. I apparently stumbled upon some of them when hiking down a canyon through which a small creek flowed. At a point where the canyon and creek descended rapidly to a small clearing, something roared/screamed from behind a huge boulder. The roar was unlike anything I have ever heard before, and it scared the hell out of me! When I finally got up the nerve to peek around the boulder, there was nothing there! After a few minutes, I made my way down into the clearing below. The silence in this usually busy place was deafening. I sat down and waited. Soon, I heard the softest single-note whistles coming from all around me. They sounded like people trying to signal their location to one another without being heard by me. I looked carefully at my surroundings, but saw nothing strange except the complete lack of forest critters and birds. It was eerie to say the least.

This one really touched me, I actually cried. They were like family, how lucky they both were to have that kind of connection

Wow! What a beautiful, wonderful, sad. Story.. I'm 48 and battling terminal cancer in my bones. Mainly in my spine and hip. Along with cancer in and on different organs. I'm glad he had time with his grandfather and Buddy and his family. Just incredible..I would give anything to meet with a Sasquatch family. Maybe not even meet one, but to physically see one. I've had a couple experiences, but no sightings.

What an incredible and unique experience you had growing up Rusty!! I really loved this story and was hoping it would take up the full duration and glad it did! Heck yes we want to hear more about your Grandfather and adopted BF family!!! Bring your cards and we'll bring ours and between us we will have many full decks! It was kind of sad at the end, as it sounded like you weren't really welcomed into the woods with them towards the end but I have a feeling it was more the same as the 1st time your grandpa's big buddy came to the house and you were about to rush outside before you had even met him and your Grandfather warned you back so there'd be no big surprises that might make for a bad first start! I hope nothing like people encroaching on their land and running them off of the place or something bad. So I hope you come back and fill us all in on everything else Rusty!

Yes like humans they all can't be bad I'm pretty sure someone suffer from chemical imbalances but the ones that are family orientated who have families and live in semi-populated areas I'm pretty sure they're curiosity gets the best of them and the next thing you know their friends for life. Believe me I love to have a Sasquatch clan I'll probably feel it more at home than I do with people I know

What an amazing story. I'm sure most people would be skeptical and think it's fiction because it is so unbelievable. I think many of the Bigfoot beings are different just like there are different people who can be mean or ill-tempered and then there are people who are compassionate and understanding. I've heard many stories of one's that are more gentle while there are others that just want to terrorize people. That was so fascinating it could be made into a movie. Thanks for sharing Rusty!

I love these old stories cuz these Old-Timers know how to communicate with the Bigfoot. Like that heartwarming story of a boy hearing something with two different bird whistles and shortly thereafter his grandpa told him come up to the top of the Ridge and look over and he saw a figure dipping his hands in water and drinking it and he had a gray spot on his shoulder blade. Andy said what are they Grandpa and he said around here we call them boogers. And he said are they dangerous his grandpa said no unless they have young nearby or unless they are frightened. Then he told his grandson would you like to get burgers the boy said I don't have to be asked twice. Grandpa told me don't tell Grandma but set your sack lunches down on the trail slightly off the trail. And his grandpa imitated the whistle man and started walking to his truck they turn around as they got there in the creature was reaching in getting the sack lunches. Some years later as a grown man the boy saw the same type of creature done the same whistle left his sack lunch on the trail the creature answered back went and got it and looked around the boy as if looking for Grandpa. However Grandpa died some years before and when the preacher turned I realize why he was looking for Grandpa he had the same gray spot on his shoulder blade and it must have been the same preacher we saw all them years ago. It's the kind of heartwarming story that just makes you feel good all over

I am sad he lost his grandfather and at the same time, thrilled for his heritage with Buddy’s Family, but also sad “Young Boy to Man” couldn’t welcome him any longer. I cried as I listened to his account because I come from Native American heritage (Abenaki)!from Nova Scotia; and appreciated “clan” behavior and the younger ones caring for their adult females with such respect and caring…to my point it’s the caring that warmed my heart!
