As a retired tour guide for a very large metropolitan zoo I can certainly backup the first writers claim that he heard that bears can smell up to two miles away. This is absolutely true. I know what he's talking about what's camouflage because the deer over here in Ohio there a different color in the spring, in the summer and when the beans are ready to be taken off they're the same color as as beans. I've been watching a deer 50 feet away and it turns to where the butts pointing at me and it was really hard to see again. These are masters of the Woods they know how to hide

So these critters have a special ability up close to somehow paralyze you with one of two things very beneficial to a predator. Either a direct stare or somehow the loud roar or whatever one wants to call it. Both of these factors to me seem unearthly and come from off earth genetic manipulation. Sure I think it is pre-human. In most respects. With chimpanzees we have studied their dna. In almost every respect it fits with other mammals.
