Amazing video Dave and (late) congrats on your 100th upload! Bigfootville was one of the very first documentaries related to the subject that I ever watched, and was an inspiration to me in my journey as a Bigfooter. It was truly one of the best I’ve seen, and you’re so right that it’s a true documentary and nothing “showy” like some of the more current ones. Very sad to know that Tim, Dan, and Dr. Stiles have all passed away. My favorite part was the possible sighting of the tree peeker at Dan and Jeff’s location. Wish you’d seen that too.

Hi David, just wanted to sincerely thank you for recalling your involvement in (and the highlights of) “BFville.” Congratulations on your 100th! This was the perfect tribute to the documentary. As you mentioned, it’s hard to believe that was 21 years ago! Every time I revisit BFville, it brings me back to a somewhat more normal time compared to today’s daily “agenda of chaos and control.” I guess it’s true that the older we get, the more nostalgic we become for those periods of the past - “better days” in my opinion (as were the ‘70’s and ‘80’s). Also, appreciate you addressing the “shots in the dark” during the “activity” segment. This makes complete sense. I suspected there was more to it than what was portrayed during that segment. I always wondered as it looked like the officer was shooting at what they saw swaying in between the trees on the top of the ridge - right after he mentioned how "dangerous" it would be for someone to be out there in the bush in complete darkness, pulling a prank. Ha, they really set it up like that, asking him to shoot into the target mound. I get it! It’s interesting that this is/was one of the top areas of questions/concerns you get asked about in the documentary. I also thought it was by far one of the most eerie “live” accounts of any B.foot documentary - raised my neck hairs at the time! I am also in complete agreement with your opinion of “agenda” regarding many of the current documentaries out there, and go even further to include television in general. I no longer watch it (and haven’t in years). It’s all indoctrination; but most of all, it doesn’t support my agenda of critical thinking by any means. However, I would pit BFville against any documentary out there since that time, including the Monsterquest episodes. It definitely stands the test of time! BFville comes across as authentic with genuine, salt-of-the earth eyewitnesses and a “no BS” attitude - exactly what a documentary should be! I remember your role as extremely credible, educated, and knowledgeable on the subject and associated wildlife of the region. It hasn’t wavered at all up to your present day research. I agree with you that the producers also did an excellent job. They held true to your ethical standards. I was extremely sorry to hear about your friend Tim. I think you mentioned this in one of your previous videos. For the silent majority (minority?) of us Bigfoot believers out there, he’s held a place in my thoughts over the years. BFville immortalized him forever. You should be extremely proud of this. He seemed like a very knowledgeable tracker and someone who cherished his ancestral history and heritage - just an all-around great guy! Anyone would be proud to have a friend like Tim. I’m sure he will be sorely missed! It’s hilarious how you mentioned your kids running around at that time (and I’ve read other commenters on here doing the same) mimicking memorable "Tim dialogue." Heck, I was in my early 30’s back then and even found myself doing it after watching the documentary. Who could forget? “Do you smell that…? S-T-I-N-K, stay put” (big grin), or - “Let’s journey on - see what we can find.” And, a personal favorite of mine, “I ain’t ‘gone’ say, but that opening right there? I wanna’ see what’s there….” (while pointing over the producer’s shoulder as he’s scoping the valley). These are unquestionably BFville classics! As well as your description of the local wildlife which aligned to evidence of providing natural habitat for such a creature. You’re truly in tune to your environment. I’m glad your son Elijah now has the opportunity to be a part of your research, share in your love of the outdoors, and the subject matter at hand. You have raised a fine young man. Every dad wishes their son to follow in their father’s footsteps (to a certain extent at least). I wish my son were a little more open minded on the subject, but he’s at that age where only he knows what's best. I think it’s part of Piaget’s stages of cognitive development (LOL!) I constantly challenge him on what he thinks he knows, and play devil’s advocate at times to help him see the other side of the argument. This is essential in being a critical thinker; but more importantly, an individualist, who is not afraid to find their own calling in life, as you have found in yours. To quote my late mother (honor’s English teacher) quoting Thoreau: “If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.” I hope one day in the not too distant future, there will be a Bigfootville II. You could always dedicate it to Tim as he was an integral part of the original. I’ll be one of your biggest supporters. It would be interesting to run correlations against eyewitness accounts and any associated or additional evidence presented within the 20+ year time-interval. I think you are going about your research in the right fashion though, especially the fishing part (my personal love)! As you well know, fishing is more or less a sport of observation (and luck) - not only observing habitat and what attracts the fish, but also the surrounding environment. So, this should draw the B.foot in just out of curiosity. Hopefully, I can get to the Kiamichi’s someday. Thanks again for this Dave!

You are welcome! I've been thinking of doing a video about Bigfootville for a while now, it just always seemed to get sidelined. There were other people that had some parts in it as well that I could talk a little about, perhaps in a later video. Your request as well as it being my 100th episode seemed to be as good a time as any. Bigfootville II would be fun, but no-one to date has brought it up. Thanks for watching!

I love this behind the scenes commentary! This really was one of the best Bigfoot documentaries. It was balanced, authentic and didn’t sensationalize. I remember watching it as a little kid and afterwards being scared to visit Oklahoma. I’m from the Texas panhandle and I was convinced Bigfoot was going to come across state lines and get me. Now I appreciate the sentiment of the doc and the nostalgia it brings. I’ll be showing it to my own kids someday!

fantastic Dave. congrats on the 100th vid. its a great channel. and im happy for you and really enjoy the content. looking forward to this years adventures. it really is sad to hear about Tims passing. the Harjoes are a well known name in the Ada area, i hate to hear of his passing. its good of you to address these questions. altho its not really your place. i think it says more to your credit that you did take the time to address these questions on your own. so good on you for that. ive seen Bigfootville several times. and i must give you some credit, because (especially considering bigfoot and the perceptions of the people who are ignorant to the reality) you never know what these producers are going to do with the raw footage. they very easily could have manipulated anything to make it look much different. i think theres an agenda or coverup, or perhaps its just the butt of the joke to make this topic and all who have unwittingly and unwantingly had encounters with these beings, to make them look like ignorant fools. look at all the footage that the idiots from the bfro have done on their tv series. you can take a few minutes of film and make it look like something completely different. its an absolute shame. and as long as there are people like mr. moneytaker, who are more interested in makeing money, instead of finding the truth, this will never, NEVER become a mainstream taxonomical species. and that is a shame. its a detriment to humanity, to zoology, and to the race of beings that we are not very familiar with. i know that its an uphill climb, because there is sooooo much lore to get thru. as well as scams and scammers, but way down deep there is the truth. and the few of us out there that are not interested n the money nor making these beings exhibits in zoos, will be there hoping that some day the actual truth will be allowed to be revealed. i personally believe, in fact i would come very close to aying that i KNOW that the truth is being obfuscated. its being with held for sme unknown reason by the powers that be. those who believe they are above the people. and hold the truth for their own reasoning. but i think that they do it at the detriment of the average everyday people. because if this were to be known by all, and treated as an actual woodland being, then people will not scoff at sightings, and will be able to proceed with caution in an area if there is a report in the area of a being been seen. otherwise they are allowing people to go into the woods and unknowingly (potentially) put themselves in danger. i think its a great disservice to the people and bordering on negligent. when there is a bear in the area, the rangers will let the populace know that there is bear in that location. so that the people will know to be on the watch for potential bear interactions. its the same thing. however this is much much more than a bear. this being appears to have the ability to reason. as well as having opposable thumbs. this being its far more adapted to the wilderness than we are. and will certainly have a one up on us at all times when we are in the woods. so since the wildlife management will NEVER take this being seriously, i do.. so i treat ALL wildlands, as tho there has indeed been activity there. whether theres documanted cases or not. i just do not want to put myself in a situation where im caught not paying attention. keep kicking ass, Dave, and congrats on the 100 th video. i look forward to 100 more. stay safe out the please

Congratulations on your 100th video! I believe that I have seen them all now. I watched "Bigfootville" when it was first aired all those years ago and enjoyed it very much. I always find anything bigfoot and Oklahoma interesting, as I mentioned to you before, my dad was from Francis Oklahoma, which as you know is very close to Ada. I also have family in Coal County as well. We used to visit dad's family every other summer, but I had never even heard of bigfoot until I was a teenager, and that was through the movie "The Legend of Boggy Creek". That's when I really got interested in bigfoot. The Kiamichi mountains are one of the places I have yet to visit, and I have been wanting to come back to Oklahoma for a visit. Again congratulations on the 100th video, and I look forward to many more.
