To think he spent 20 years in the Air Force, becoming a Master Sergeant. Having to yell at people and telling them what to do. When he got out of the service, he said he would never raise his voice at anybody again.

Holy crap the shadowing of the mountains blew my mind

As a kid, I used to come home from school so excited to watch him on PBS. I was always so amazed with how he could create an entire scene in just minutes. His personality was so calming and much needed after a stressful day. This man is a legend.

This is great for anxiety. Sometimes he will (in my mind) mess up the painting somehow or get too much color on one of the lumps of paint when he's mixing them. But he always stays so calm and makes sure to remind you that it is a painting and can easily be fixed with just a few brush strokes. I feel like the whole show is a work of art because it teaches so many lessons while also being an amazing stress and anxiety reliever. Great show!

I love how Bob is a teacher at heart. This is the 10th season, but he still goes into detail but his techniques like this is season1 episode 1 to ensure everyone can paint like him.

This video is 5 years old so I doubt anyone will even read this but I have a little story I wanted to share that happened today. I have one of those tacky Bob Ross Funko pop dolls sitting in my window of my kitchen at home. I bought it a while ago and honestly forgot he was there. Today we found a little gift bag placed precariously on our porch. We cautiously picked it up, not knowing what it was. We found a card inside that someone had written that they walk to work each day and that seeing Bob Ross made their day, and that they wanted him to have a painting. Deeper in the bag was the smallest, sweetest little painting on a miniature easel. It was a painting from this episode. I just wanted to share. It was one of those moments I know I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, stranger and thank you, Bob Ross. You both have inspired me in a huge way.
