It is, I noticed it too!! (Artists for some reason just have an 'AI generated' radar that goes off whenever it's in front of them /j) It really sucks, especially with how well-made the rest of the game is. They could've at least commissioned an actual artist or something.

I actually kind of want to make a horror game myself!! Definitely not mascot horror like this lol, but something like Slender: The Eight Pages or Slendytubbies! (I live in the PNW so that's probably why ;u;)

Another issue I have with the game is it's use of AI for artwork on the loading screen. It would be nice if they could maybe commission an artist to recreate the generated image, or maybe even replace it with an entirely different piece, but it just really sucks to see a game that actually looks so well-done (especially for a demo) to be using AI for it's own official art.

@@Hetalialuver9001 I mean, it's a free game so far. If the art you're referring to is the one we see that looks like it's from a comic, I see nothing wrong with it being AI if that's the only way they were going to have something like that in the game. It's not like they're stealing someone else's art to make it. People love to complain about AI but they never consider the opportunity cost of not using it when it comes to stuff that's free. Could the art be better if a real person made it? Absolutely. Does it need to be better, though? No. Edit: It would be nice to see that art be improved later if the game costs money since I think it's really charming.

@@The_Red_Scare I'm "complaining" because AI art takes people's jobs. You obviously aren't friends with any artists, probably need to change that up about yourself. Also, demos always are a person's first impressions on a game, so yes, it does need to be better. Hell, they could've even just, used the model of Bokkie they already had, made a quick model for the MC in blender or any other 3D modeling software (Because I'm assuming there's not a custom one for them already in the game.), and just take a screenshot of the scene that way. Quit defending AI art, it's not doing any good for anyone, and only making it worse for actual artists to be fed. :)

You say it's taking someone's job away as if it was guaranteed to exist in the first place were it not for AI, not considering the fact that for some people, either they use AI for art or they don't use art AT ALL. When something is free, it usually implies that every part of the game is coming out of the dev's pocket. If the dev has to choose between using free AI to add a piece of art in their free game or not adding in a piece of art at all because they either can't afford to pay for it or don't want to pay for it because it'd be an expensive cost for a FREE GAME, literally no one is losing their job if the dev goes with the AI option. That job literally didn't exist in the first place in this scenario. People love to complain about some theoretical loss of work every single time AI is used, regardless of the circumstances, without ever considering that if AI wasn't used, there might not have been a job to fill in the first place. It's irritating and ignores any sort of nuance.
