I love how much grief MattPatt gives to everyone about art style and when he's alone and picks a game the first thing he commented on is the art style

Just to let you know Matt, The green and blue bullets are both different, even with the original game. The Blue bullets are said to be normal strength, so they'll hurt more. Meanwhile, the Green bullets track the opponent, but the damage is very low. The Green bullets aren't really a warning, they just trick you into using your parry card to the bullets that won't damage you much, instead of using it on the ones that do. If that makes sense lol.

Just letting you know that the issue is that is where you need to dodge. However, you are also able to play through the whole mod without mechanics by holding shift when selecting your difficulty.

I love how he keeps looking behind the camera during the banter cause he’s so used to talking to someone right there. He does it so much so often.

Dear MatPat, Here's tips and things about the mod: Week 1 - Cuphead: When he shoots at you, he's shooting shots from the Cuphead game. The green shots (Chaser orbs) can't be stopped with an attack or dodged. When he fires the blue shots (Peashooter shots),you can only attack to counter it. Hitting notes will slowly fill the card up,as with parry notes will give you the attack immediately ready. Week 2 - Sans:On the first song,the camera is meant to zoom in on him as it'll shift to BF slightly after his turn,but you need to dodge (Space) when you hear the sound it does on you (you'll also see a red box with a ! around BF also when this happens),not to mention he'll launch blue and orange notes at you (which like the game means you hit orange for moving to avoid damage,and not hitting blue). When you reach the next song (Sansational),your final song will be based on attacking (attacks are unlimited but have small cool down to prevent spam to get constant health) or not attacking,I won't spoil what it is on each. Final song will be somewhat easy or very hard depending on what you do. Week 3 - Bendy:When dealing with Bendy,make sure you pay close attention to the info it gives or you will lose lots of times,won't spoil it either. Extras:When you beat any of the Weeks, it'll unlock a new Bonus song (Week 1 will unlock 1 song,as Weeks 2 {depending on final song done} & 3 will unlock 2 songs instead). After beating all songs,you will unlock a new type of mode for songs that will really push you to the limit. I won't reveal it,but I would look up some codes cause there are 2 secret codes for special songs in the game also. Anyways,if you see this,I hope it helps and you do good throughout the rest of the mod :D

He needs to read the info cards and read what’s on his screen to assess what to do. Maybe he should revisit the mod, or play with mechanics off

Alright so, first of all, you can go into options and disable mechanics if you so desire. Second, what you missed in Sans’ first song is that you’re supposed to dodge, if you listen to the sound and look at Boyfriend, you’ll see the red border thing, followed by Sans’ iconic bone attack, which you’re supposed to dodge when you hear the audio cue. Third, you definitely need to finish this mod, it’s really good!

Pro Tip for Week 2 : You can actually use your parry on Sans without any requirements. Granted it doesn't do anything on him -yet ;)- but I'm sure you'll find a use for it somehow. You're MATPAT after all...

Also... When you're fighting Sans, you have to dodge when the red alert pops up. You can also turn off the mechanics if it gets too hard... which it will, trust me.

You know. It's crazy how you never really realized the audio. In this, there is a slight echo that doesn't matter because it adds some umph to the music but it's crazy to know like, MatPat isn't the one who normally does this kind of stuff. It shows just how appreciated the whole team should be.

There's nothing wrong with your camera, it's just an offscreen dodge (probably meant to catch you off gaurd). Also I really hope you return to this, it's a lot of fun watching you play through indie cross!

There's nothing wrong with week 2. When you hear the warning sound and see the red box around BF you have to dodge.

That i one flaw of this current version of Indie Cross: When you play the Cuphead week on Normal mode, particularly in the Technicolor Tussle song, you have few chances to hit any parry notes and attack back. Hard mode actually gives an easier time with hitting parry notes

tip for friday night funkin' change your keys to something like d f j k in the settings, makes it a lot easier. I'd also recommend trying downscroll, but I think that's more a personal preference of mine that is if you haven't already tried these

I think it's really cool that your employees are comfortable enough to tell you when something doesn't click for them/ what they would be comfortable to work on. It was said in passing but it spoke volumes for me. I don't really like watching fan games either, but when I first saw this mod i was really excited for you to see it, I was sure you would think it was as cool as I did, and I'm very glad you decided to play it despite the fact you were the only one interested.

The animations are so smooth yet still cartoonish for the cups, it’s so beautiful

I always find it funny how much creativity gets skipped over by more popular UKpostsrs such as GTLive, Dawko, 8BitRyan and others from the mods of FNF. Indie Cross, Blueballs Incident, Sonic.exe Round 2, Impostor, and all the other greats.... Massive amounts of teams with massive amounts of effort and detail.... When people come back, they're just steamrolled by the amount of effort and references to other mods unknown to them. XD (And at least these people haven't even begun to scratch the surface of difficulty levels such as Shaggy, Matt, Dave & Bambi, and the rest....)

The devs are adding more indie characters and assuming the intro cutscene games are characters we fight at some point we're gonna get shovel knight (my personal favorite), I think the ghost from hollow knight, goose from untitled goose game, and someone (im guessing foxy or freddy) from fnaf!

Fun fact: for those who dont know, one of the artists from indie cross called "Nonsens" has his own fnf mod called "a nonsensical friday night". And it is getting a huge update soon. Its an update that aparently includes a lot more things than any mod ever had.

For anyone wondering with the cuphead one the green ones you cannot Dodge but they do little damage the blue ones you can dodge if you want to or Perry them cuz they do more damage

Sans throws the whoope line towards you. Before he does that a red square comes around boyfriend. Mabye try to dodge that by using the dodge button?

I'm an FNF pro, and I have some tips, because this game is awesome and I want you to play it more. The game wants you to use DDR style arrow keys or WASD. Some even use the four fingers on one hand to hit the notes. My preferred setup is: Left is A, down is S, up is 5 on the numpad, and right is 6 on the numpad. Then use the pointer and middle fingers on each side. Having the notes straight across instead of thinking about the DDR dancepad is way easier. Even if you can't change the keybinds, have your left hand on A and S, then the right on the up arrow and the right arrow on the arrow keys. Spamming is easily the worst thing you can do. If you spam the notes, especially if the mod has death notes, you're gonna be doing way more harm to yourself than help. Spamming is a lot of people's panic solution when there are a lot of notes. No matter how many notes there are, spamming is awful (unless you don't have any brain power to begin with and you play on new input.) Composure is key. Certain configuration are loved by the modding community, such as jacks, stairs and doubles. Familiarize yourself with these note configurations, and you will fly through most songs. Pausing is HUGE. Sometimes you need a break to recover your strength. The game gives you tons of moments to safely pause whilst the opponent is going, so utilize them as much as you can. I also just wanted to say that hard mode is basically the way you're intended to play, so start there, and THEN dial down if you're struggling. Other than that, you just need tons of practice. Play at your own level of skill, and go up.

Hey Matpat, Mirror Matt, or ash, a tip to generally play better is to change your keybinds from WASD or Arrow Keys and play with 2 hand keybinds, like DF JK or AS KL. It improves skill alot but takes some practice, hope this helps!

I loved knockout! It was probably my favorite. From the animation, how angry cuphead looks, to how they incorporated a little bit of the melody from “I’m mr king dice” I’m not sure what it’s actually called lol

Glad to see you play indie cross matpat, tho i recommend going on hard since most fnf mods prioritize hard mode only for full experience. But you can go hard after normal if you want.

him figuring out the mechanics brings me back to those times in gameplay videos where its just so pure also me losing most of the time at knockout is not because the dodging but pressing attack by accident at the wrong time

i love the art of sans, cuphead & bendy in the menu screen in my opinion it does a really good job representing their personalities

im glad he played indie cross! as someone whos been in the fnf community for a little over a year i can easily say its THE best mod out there right now and blew my socks off when i first played it- from a programing standpoint its not too complex but all the talented people they got on their team to make the banger music and the tv quality animations were very impressive and i still listen to the ost throughout my normal day

You should play on hard mode. It makes it easier in the cuphead week and future weeks. Because the notes move faster in hard that means easier way to click.

When Cuphead is shooting the green stars, he is attacking himself and it‘s because he can‘t aim correctly while singing so he switches to auto aim bullets, which deal less damage. So the blue ones come after he finished singing. Something I noticed while you struggled on that

Green bullets are definitely a feint to make you use your parry and Sans is giving you an audio cue to dodge instead of a visual cue like in cuphead.

Cuphead's remark about Mugman not dealing too well with damage might actually be a nod to the Cuphead show episode where Mugman broke his handle and goes into a depression about it.

theres a problem with the audio around 10:45 onwards and also with the sans song- you just need to press space bar to 'dodge'
