Bryan Kohberger to Rely on Cell Phone Data for Alibi?

22 дні томуBryan Kohberger’s defense plans to provide testimony from a cell phone tracking expert to prove the suspected murder’s alibi for the night four University of Idaho students were brutally stabbed to death in their off-campus housing.
Judge John Judge had previously given public defender Anne Taylor until Wednesday to file a notice she intended to use an alibi. Last summer, the defense said that Kohberger was out driving alone the night of the murders, an “alibi” both the judge previously said was “not really an alibi,” as CrimeOnline reported.

Some of these cases can go years before the trial commences. He is facing the death penalty for 4 counts of 1st degree murder. His defense team is entitled to the time they need to put their case together. They waived the right to a speedy trial (which usually has the trial happen within a shorter time period. We just have to be patient, and they need time to do things properly, so there is less chance it's overturned on appeal. If YOUR life was on the line, I'm sure you'd want the same courtesy.

The DNA is only touch dna, not overly good. Touch dna is explainable as to how it would have got on it. The expert that is willing to testify for the defense usually spoke for the prosecutor... So what are your thoughts?

Holy cow! Why hasn’t the Prosecution handed over ALL the Discovery? I have a question about the sheath. Are we 100% sure that the victims were unalived by a K-bar - if the wounds don’t match this weapon (that’s why IMO they want the X-rays) then that is simply a piece of leather with touch dna

Because he has a good defense team, and because this is also a death penalty case. His very life is at stake, so the defense has waived the right to a "speedy" trial, in order to give them time to build their case.

Because the prosecution keeps stalling. Why don't they provide all the evidence to the defense? Why do they make such a fuss about moving the trial to a different venue? Why hasn't the FBI CAST team provided a final report? Some people seem to think they have overwhelming evidence and can't lose but if that's the case why keep stalling and dragging it out?

Big time trials take 2-3 years to get underway. Instead of giving individual's a right to a speedy trial they should require the Justice system to have a speedy trial within a year. If there are too high a volume of cases then delay others that are less high stakes (murder, death penalty) . There is no excuse for the amount of time to evidence collect and all the "play the game" delays to take 2-3 years in cases where families need justice due to deaths

When just moved to the coast recently, I knew no one in my new town.. I went to the beach every night (alone) & watched the sunsets every night even staying til the am hours bc I was in awe! Idaho is gorgeous! If they have RF data, aka GPS - they can prove where he was within 2 feet! That’s about as solid as it gets vs the pings from rookie Brett that are up to a 20 mile variance! These talking heads are sometimes else. Even if Kohberger's touch DNA was found on that knife sheath, it does not necessarily place him at the crime scene. It simply means that at some point, he happened to touch that knife sheath. What do we know about the murder weapon?

If people believe in skin cell transfer dna, a small speck, a partial dna sample at that, I feel sorry for you and pray you are never accused of a crime based on that piece of evidence alone. We will see what the evidence shows at trial but I wouldn’t dismiss his alibi so easily. This dna evidence can easily be torn apart and create reasonable doubt. The octillion number alone is absolutely ridiculous.

Nancy, why don’t you ask how is it that 2 ppl were 🔪 to death in the room directly above the pretty blonde and 2 addtl people around a small cornered hallway, mere feet away, also killed and that witness claims she didn’t hear the attacks? However, she heard Kaylee say “ there’s someone here” and sobbing from Xana’s room but did not hear the girls upstairs crying and fighting for their lives, nor Xana and Ethan for that case. How about asking why she called Hunter, a frat boy who was ALWAYS at that house, per the multiple body cam vids from LE themselves before calling the police. All these ppl with access and motive couldn’t have been involved, yet a person who is said to have no connection with any of those kids and who’s private property didn’t have any physical evidence of such a messy scene is the one who did it? Bryan worked as a TA in a huge campus. White cars, even by LE admission, what, 22k in Idaho and WA? Ya, small trace dna, bushy eye brows, and a common white car are the key to this case. It’s sad to say, but those kids were clearly surrounded by wolves in sheep’s clothing. Their so called “friends” know the who and why. Give it a few yrs, regardless if BK is convicted. It’ll come out, it was ppl they actually trusted and considered “ friends”.

I still believe Bryan had someone close to him driving his car the night of the murders. He thought well if they see my car driving at the time of the murders then I will be eliminated as a prime suspect! Possibly a family member drive for him. Just my opinion.

I wish the prosecution would reduce the sentence request to be life in prison without the possibility of parole, which is still a death sentence, but without the extra pressure put on a jury of sentencing the killer to death directly. I think that a death sentence case makes it harder to convict even with a ton of evidence such as DNA and an eyewitness. This should be a no brainer, but it gets extra scrutiny. Everyone is so afraid of anything that the defense can use for an appeal and overly cater to the defense. The defense is in no hurry because the local jail with all the special treatment pretrial is a far better situation for Kohberger than prison as a convicted 4X murderer.

So this criminology expert drove his own car to the scene and walked into a house where there were a bunch of cars and DD was just delivered, at least two people were awake, so lights must have been on.... He also didnt worry about cameras along the way or his cell phone that he took with him. And for some reason the kids didnt call the police until noon the next day, but instead called friends before calling the police. And supposedly his car did not have signs of extensive cleaning or blood. Hmmmm...

Or Ethan got in a fight that (1:19) went too far & Was set up. The girls came upon the scene in horror & screamed (2:19am) w/ 🐶. They start calling JD & panicking, yelling for police. Lucky theres already some there! Except they’re not in uniform. They’re not in a cop car. They’re wearing scary masks on top or back of the head. Ppl cover the girls mouthes n tell them not to scream. They keep trying JD. They trust him & r scared. The frat & LE want to keep it hush hush & the girls r obviously upset. The girls get away n end up in / out or dragged 2:53 by the silver cop car that is white at certain points. 3 boys walking home see the struggle & LE goes after them. 2:55 we hear stop it stop. 3:01-3:02 girls r behind car in a struggle. 3:02 female screams, LE says “go ahead” Maddy with a short person & K with a few yelling in her face. n Maddy loses her big black jacket. The 3 boys see parts of this n their jaws drop. There’s lots of ppl in black in the bushes shining lights but the mirror on the hood of the car is like a projector & all u have to do is look in the sky above the bushes to see what’s happening. Sorry for rambling. That was just a theory I plopped out.

He is entitled to a fair trial, and that includes proper and full representation. Justice for the students, yes, but they have to make sure it's the right person they convict. If this is rushed, it could get overthrown on appeal, and that is the last thing anyone wants or needs.

How did the killer know that Maddie's bf wasn't there, Kaylee's bf wasn't there, Dylans bf wasn't there, Bethany's bf wasn't there? Im not bying anything of what Bethany and Dylan are selling. There are a reason why the killer left them alive... What are the odds that exactly that day the murders occured, out of 5 girls, only one had their bf over that weekend? Kind of strange that none of the others were, or that none of the girls were staying with them. Wasn't it Family Weekend? How did the killer know that family wasn't staying over? How did the killer know if their targeted victim was even there? How did the killer know that someone else may have been crashing in their targets bed? Even if the killer saw movement, wouldn't have known for sure who all was in there, or who was gone. There were plenty of vehicles in the parking lot, and parked all around. Of course there were someone on lookout, ready to warn the killer/s if someone was to approach the house. Even a half way intelligent person, should have felt that was potentially a suicide mission otherwise. Bryan could have passed by for 365 days in a row, and would still not know when the time was right to enter the house and stab these poor students. There were no routines in that house, people came in and out non stop. Someone close to the victims, had the "inside information" of exactly who was in that house and in which rooms they were in. The fingerprints on the holster? In theory he could have lost his knife, or could have been stolen from his car. It's gonna be hard for the state to prove otherwise. The killers are still out there, laughing. This isn't adding up at all. He is innocent! When he will be exonerated, I hope he will sue the whole gd country!

I thought he wore gloves during murders. Makes sense he used knife before murders & left his DNA on knife sheath before murdering the kids. Interesting that u state this type knife is used by military and police, hunters etc. for sole purpose to kill. I went on date once & saw that same type of knife in the rental auto my date was using & the knife had been hiding underneath driver seat & had fallen out from beneath drivers seat into back seat floor. I asked why he would bring a 15 inch butcher knife on our date? This 6ft 4🎉inch tall white male said " for protection just in case of auto troubles". My response? U call for towing service. FYI... no one is going to harm a 6ft 4inch man while u wait for tow & having auto issues on side of the road. I also stated that his working at refinery forbid any construction workers entering refinery & parking lots from posseessing any type of weapons in their auto or in person. Why then carry 15 inch butcher knife on date? I got to my home safely but never saw him again. He said he would still carry knife with him in his auto when dating even tho his job required him to remove knife from his auto when on job site working. Women dont carry butcher knives for protection when dating unless they are drug addicts, homeless or prostitutes. Advice to all Women...always always drive your own auto when dating so u can escape if u need to. Carry mace on key chain as added protection as u really dont know men u date.

The biggest evidence to me is simply this.. If he had nothing to do with this horrific crime WHY is is family especially his momma who was so worried about him not having friends when he moved… why are they not screaming his innocence from the rooftops ?? To me that all by itself is the biggest red flag. I’m a mother of 3 and let me tell you if my child was accused of such a horrible act and facing the death penalty or even life in prison and they were innocent believe me I would be doing everything and more to prove his innocence. Two Judges twice asked kohberger to plea NOT guilty - in front of Judge marshall on january 05, 2023 hearing , and in front of Judge Judge in August 2023 hearing. .. . see, this is VERY SUSpicious when Judges fbi and cops investigators are destroying the crime scene BEFORE the Trial. as they want to hide something ... holes in the walls from their hunter rifles?
