This bird isn't frustrated for a second! He's acting as if the ball was a female - what he's doing is basically courtship, that's how budgies do it. He's excited and "in love", that's all. Poor guy wants a girlfriend.

Ah, I do miss the adorable budgies I had during my childhood (green one called Percy, blue one called Nigel). Can't really have one now as the family flies around the house leaving doors and windows open. Training them to shut them would be more difficult than training a budgie to say, 'Pretty boy.'
