Experience the complete build of my latest, and largest, DIY camper. It's 6X10, sleeps four, has a shower and toilet and a new, experimental way of powering it with Ryobi 40 volt batteries (as well as shore power). Like my other builds, I didn't hold back when using alternative building techniques just to see if I can pull them off. It travels on a Harbor Freight 1720 lb trailer and can be easily unmounted if needed. It's also my first build that's tall enough to stand up in!
MATERIALS LIST BELOW
If you found this video after the release date, we have installed a 3500lb-rated axle and a set of Rainer radials. This helps the build be the safest possible on the road, although we didn't have any issues with the equipment used in the video. We simply upgraded when we could.

Couldn't agree more with the sentiment of music. There are moments when music can be good, but UKposts creators often use it too much. The audience doesn't need a constant onslaught of noise. A little exposition on what you're doing, shots that show it and that is all you really need.

I would think a carpenter would object to the use of lap board for bottom wall structure. Those lag bolts aren't very useful, because the wood is the weak point, not eh fastener. Under enough stress, load, or long term shock and wear, the structural failure of the design is the bottom boards splitting, which pine will do.

Wow, wow, wow. From the framing in the beginning, to the wiring , and water proofing; from applying the sealents, and polyurethane, and acylic glues. From the putting in of windows, and doors and making sure they were all airtight , to assembling the shower , along with putting in the air conditioner , fridge, and portable toilet!? Job well done sir. Everything was done with intricate care down to the last detail! A professionally prouduced "contraption: " haha, that could sleep four! Just once more , great work!

As a contractor I have a couple of suggestions. Number one, don't use waterproofer. That's made for decks and such. I would use an exterior spar urethane is better. I would make sure every single piece of wood was sealed before I even started. I would go to 84 lumber and get 1 x 12 x 16 and rip them and cut them as needed to save on wood prices. Also Power Grab is your friend. It holds like bubble gum and locks and hard as a rock. Much better than liquid nails. Also I would consider using some type of sandwich foam board combination for walls. Using the 3/4 inch insulation and two pieces of Lauan is about the same as the OSB but much much lighter. I would also take the weight off and use groutable vinyl tile. Save a lot of time and use a grout tool, even if you're going to use caulk. I mix sanded grout with silicone for flexible areas.
@nicke.3011

Power Grab and PL Max are the real deal.
@mikekrabal

A couple awesome tips in there! Thanks for those! I really like the silicon and sanded grout. I had never heard of that one. I have a tube of the power grab in the garage. I'll have to try it out more often. Thanks for suggesting it. And for suggesting the spar urethane. Your comment has been incredibly helpful as I'm pretty new to puttting campers together.

Thank you for posting. You helped me solve a remodel problem using a simple support system for an existing seat that is metal frame in construction. I needed to make it convert into a wider width for a bed. Also will be using the table idea too. I had the same idea for a shower using metal sheeting but was unsure how to do that and converting a floor to ceiling cupboard that already had a small wind up roof ventilation window. I will replace that with a new fitting that will have a light and extraction fan.
