Nice work aesthetically. By now you have probably discovered the following problems: 1) Silicone is secondary waterproofing - it's can't replace proper flashing above windows and doors. 2) Single or even double skin flue gets extremely hot, it can't be in contact with heat sensitive materials (and again, silicone can't replace proper flue wall flashing) 3) OSB (not plywood) is lovely but it does affect indoor air quality and it is not meant to be a finish materials: e.g. next to your stove would by now be extremely dirty, 4) Unless the house is quite draughty (not well sealed) you will have condensation issues in winter, particularly around the steel frames, causing mould growth 5) The roof/wall junction *might* just work, but it could allow water behind your wall cladding ... 6) Floor that close to the ground will lead to rising dampness/moisture problems (100-150mm clear space should be minimum). the list could go on - but ultimately - this is a lovely building, but selling plans to others might result in more than one lawsuit related to liability.

Glad I bought this one ukposts.infoUgkxT9ExVpR-3A-9rpRqx8vzXKZ3BMMTg_KH . I had a customer looking for a shed that didn't look 'prefab' and was rustic, but "cute" (her term). I showed her the cover of the book and, with a few modifications, she was sold. I've never built a shed but I do have some framing knowledge. The info on roofing is very helpful to me. I was also psyched that the section for the shed on the cover had measured drawings for the trim boards and keystone pieces for the gable ends and over the windows. Should make life a little easier for me.

@@zakikhan814 OCB plates are made from woodscraps and glue plus pressure, in the past it was recongnized, that the glue fumes out over time, like on ordinary chipboards, and those fumes _can_ cause cancer. The whole thing seems to be planned for warm mediterranian climate and wouldn't work places like poland or canada for instance (+40 to -40°C regions). The other thing that klotzx11 mentioned is that the oven is that central placed, that u can get trapped if somthing happen that shouldn't ... anyways i would have chosen an oven where i can cook on and maybe bake in over that little thingy, somethiung that holds the heat over a whole day and night - without having to lite it all the time even winter times, something practical made of fireclay bricks, bricks and clay with cast iron oven doors - like people used 100+ years ago 😉 The first things i would replace are that unsealed windows and doors for double or tripple glass ones out of a factory or made some out of wood with proper sealed glass panels ... and depending on the oritation of the *building thing* i would put the solarpanels on the roof, wee gott trees here, that would would blook the sun on gound based panels for a good share of the day ... The wohle metal frame + corrugated sheet metal overlay is not that appealing to me, while ican understand it's use for the roof instead of blazed roof tiles there are way better materials for the walls, that make it not look like a sheed ... 🤐

I applaud your excellent choices of materials, and your careful construction techniques. There's obviously some very well thought out steps taken in your construction. I did notice that you didn't bother with any vapor barrier, insulation or sealant between the ground and the underside of your flooring. I'm afraid that will come back to haunt you in the long term. Bugs, mold and small critters love such inaccessible voids and will reek absolute havoc out of sight of the humans dwelling above. There's hope, you can still fill in the voids with a variety of materials, spray-in foam being at the top of my list of materials to use. Good luck!

@@peepopalaber Drywall is easily chipped, dented and punctured - and easily repaired. OSB is garbage once broken. It also warps through dry/wet cycles which makes it a sketchy choice for things like cabinets that require a snug fit, if left unsealed for a long time. At least it looks like all the OSB except for flooring/sheathing could be replaced when needed. To be fair though; OSB doesn't offgas either, at least not in any harmful way like MDF does. Ultimately, I assume the goal in this context is to use whatever is cheapest at the time and place. I'm not sold on the "found glass" either - some of those panels are huge and using anything less than brand-new professional grade glazing is a bad idea. Seeing as one panel that size could cost as much as the entire house, corrugated plastic is the way to go for simply letting light in. Even for the smaller windows if you found the glass or recovered it, it's likely going to be untempered and scratched to shit in a matter of months, at which point you'd see better through corrugated plastic anyway. You would need to recover glass from things like high-quality cabinets, display-cases and computer cases, not to mention get creative with your installation as you would almost certainly wouldn't be able to re-size glass like that without breaking it.

Your pets look like they are very happy out there. That's sweet. Also the garden is a real plus, and if you own the older building next to you then you could have a few farm animals as well. That would make you more self sufficient in case society breaks down, and that looks like a very good possiblity.

Lovely! Wow.... I need one, well actually, I need two. It would be great to make one corner of this structure able to open by sliding the walls away from the corner beam. This could allow flexibility to attach another, similar structure by connecting it at the cutaway corners (of both buildings). In other words, the structure could grow over time with an easy addition.

In all the videos, especially of couples who embark on this incredible adventure, of building houses practically from scratch, this project was the most audacious, sustainable and connected with nature that I had the immense pleasure of watching, without leaving the chair to anything. The interesting thing is that at all times there are ideas that improve the space making an experience increasingly connected to nature. I would like to know in which region this beautiful construction was made, because in certain parts of the video we hear, different languages, italian, english, english with a british accent, and a little brazilian portuguese, I believe that some coincidences of some portuguese words with the italian. I loved this build so much. Love the connection of your animals, the two dogs and the cat. Including the two of you, working all hours of the day. This is very beautiful to see. A big hug from this admirer from Brasil.

The floor!!! No vapor barrier, no sealant, to treatment, no insulation... It's gonna be drafty, moldy, and infested within a few months and fall apart within three years!!! Please take it out and do it right before you get sick or injured. Also the roof needs more overhang to be long term waterproof, and aspenite (while inexpensive) tends to flake/fall apart quickly. It will look really bad after a short time and leave splinters everywhere.

Undermount sinks are common in the US, but I have, and prefer, on top for the same reasons I prefer large eaves on a roof! Safety 1st, or you will regret it when something goes wrong.....injuries can change your life. We bought a house that was English tutor style with barely any eaves.....spent 100K this last year puting on eaves, reroofing, installing new windows, replacing siding and trim that had been damaged from water sliding down the walls....and we don't get much rain.
