Converted a high top van into a tiny house then sold it cause it was intended to travel w service dog but she passed away so I didn’t want to use it without her. About to buy a mini bus. Excited to convert her. She has great ideas and I’ll be borrowing some concepts. 😊

If I may, and I am not a Skoolie owner, however I have been a very long time, 'tiny home'enthusiast, and I now have decided that I would love so much to have a converted school bus and a short bus in particular… That said after watching hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of these I realize that, your little woodstove is in fact more than adequate to heat a large skoolie- however… The trick is finding the HARDEST wood that you can cut, in the largest blocks that you can fit into it-that is the trick, very HARD wood, Cut into the largest block size that you can fit inside -two or three actually cut large enough to fit the inside will make it burn for hours and it will probably have you opening up the windows to cool it down. That is something that I have seen repeatedly said about these little wood-burning stoves- and yours is larger than some that I have seen. So please try that and I think you’re gonna find that your woodstove is more than adequate to keep your space nice and cozy… Another trick may be to make some curtains that are uninterrupted to close out any draft that may be coming in at your windows. Have a wonderful experience in this little home it looks so fun… You are living my dream! Enjoy, and be safe! Make sure you have a fire extinguisher on board!🙏😁🥰

I really like your build. I have the same exact tiny wood stove in my shuttle bus and you're absolutely right about it not being able to heat the entire bus (and mine is even bigger than yours), plus you need to constantly feed it small pieces of wood, which means staying up most of the night so the fire doesn't go out. I love the astethics, but another source is needed, as I learned in the New York winter.
