Moral of the story: Papparazzi *shouldn't be allowed to stalk and pursue people*

I just hate it so much that when she FINALLY seemed happy and had self esteem, she died. She lived in a gilded cage and was so graceful and sweet even though she went through so much.

Someone once told me it says a lot that people still call her Princess Diana even after the divorce even after death. She wasn’t loved by the royals but she was loved by the people and that’s what really counted

I am not mourning the death of a monarch. I am mourning the loss of what could've been the most wonderful Queen that England has ever seen.

I’d like to clarify that, as a British person, the phrase ‘I want to live in your knickers' disgusts me also, and would realistically only be said by people like Charles here.

I'm surprised the British police didn't look into her death as a possible premeditated homicide. The note she wrote 10 months before her death saying that she thinks someone was trying to kill her, namely Charles in order to be with their former nanny, should not have been ignored.

I think the worst part, is that her kids lost their mother so young. I lost my Dad 2 years ago, and it was the hardest think I ever had to endure. I can’t imagine losing my mother at 12 years old

Fun little history fact: during the times where the HIV/AIDS epidemic was killing so many people, there was a lot of misinformation. One of them was that you could get HIV/AIDS by touch. Princess Diana went ahead and shook hands with an AIDS patient without any gloves challenging the notion. She basically changed the attitude surrounding the whole thing.

Despite Shane taking every opportunity to insult the monarchy as possible, you can really feel how careful they're being this episode to avoid any liability for Buzzfeed or allegations of defamation.

Diana was such a rare, genuine feeling woman…and my heart genuinely breaks for her having to go through this. I’m happy she was able to make an impact on the entire world, but it’s upsetting to know that she went through this, she’s someone who truly deserved better in every way.

I don't know why they didnt write "The People's Princess" in Diana's statue at kensington. Anyone could've been a princess of wales, but she was the ONLY people's princess.

I always felt bad for the sole surviving bodyguard, Mr. Trevor Reese-Jones, I can´t immagine the ammount of pressure placed on him after getting half of his face absolutely demolished. The guilt, the pressure , conspiracy theories, survivor´s guilt.. poor man.

What kills me the most about her death is that the paparazzi just carried on taking pictures.. Its reported that her last words were '"Leave me alone". Absolutely heartbreaking.

The doctors who conducted the post mortem also stated that results showed that there was 20.7% carbon monoxide in his body, which would've made it impossible for him to even get to the car; he'd be throwing up, and struggling to stand, and this has been proven wrong by the footage taken 20 minutes before planning to leave, where he kneels down to fix his shoes then gets up and walks around completely fine. I also find it hard to believe that the bodyguard would allow someone so intoxicated to drive in any circumstance. She was definitely taken out.

Her death was so tragic. Her youth was stolen by a man who didn’t love her and a royal family who pressured the marriage. Her agency and privacy were destroyed by said marriage, as well as the paparazzi. And when she finally got the chance to be happy, she died.

For Post Mortem: Honestly, what angers me most about her death is that if it hadn't been for the greed of the paparazzi, her death likely wouldn't have happened. They crashed because they where driving away from them, and they weren't wearing seatbelts to hide their face, and the fact that the paparazzi have not reflected on this and done similar things to celebrities right now makes my blood boil.

I don't care what anyone says but for Diana to write down how she would go is what makes me believe it was an inside job. she deserved so much more ! I just hope we can solve this case in this lifetime.

Imagine being married to someone with as much class and elegance as Diana and choosing to throw it away for an ogre like camilla

I was 7 years old and me and my sister cried so much. I remember my father holding me and my mom holding my sister as we watched the news. I loved her even though I was still so small and she wasn't a princess of my country. Kids know truly good people when they see them.

I don't think it can be overstated, how much she meant to those of us who were old enough to be cognizant of her life at that time. I can only describe my view of her as reverent, because she was such a humanitarian. One story that was commonly known was that whilst nobles were never supposed to touch anybody physically with their hands, hence the reason that the queen always wears gloves, Diana would strip her gloves off and she would hold the hands of people who were dying because they were hurt by leftover land mines, or had leprosy, or AIDS or whatever it was at the time... and believe you me, as a person who spent a lot of time in AIDS hospices trying to give those people some comfort in their final days, back then people thoroughly believe that touching someone with AIDS was a death sentence; that they were "unclean", they were the modern leper. She was consistently berated by the Queen and others for doing this sort of thing, and yet she never ceased trying her best to help others. She faced such a difficult situation and persevered, and was just trying to live her best life. I feel great love for her I feel great love for her sons... and I'm still very upset on her behalf. Her life was cut short because of the situation she was placed in too young, and yet she faced everything that ever came at her with grace, and did her best to be a servant of humankind despite her personal pain, and that's to be admired.

There's a certain level of hopelessness watching this video now that the queen has died. RIP Diana, the world truly misses your kindness and humanity and we all know you didn't deserve the target on your back

Dude, any historical monarchs have been notorious for "erasing" people out of the map; it's not too farfetched that Diana really did believe she's gonna be eliminated.

as a british person, i hate the royal family. however Diana’s activism makes her stand out from the rest, her compassion towards those with AIDs in particular is particularly touching to me as a queer person, she really helped change public opinion when it was needed most.

”Living in her knickers” was nothing compared to what Prince Charles said after that. Among other things he said he wanted to be her tampon.

She was a flawed person, but I do believe that she was deeply empathetic to the people of UK. I have mad respect for her for the way she treated AIDS victims alone. She wasn't scared, she saw them as the people that they were. It was extremely taboo for her to hug them and shake their hands because of how misunderstood the disease was. She ran in a track meet for parents at her kids school, even if it was "unbecoming". I hope she's at peace

jokes aside, everything Diana ever said about being in that family, was proven true by Prince Harry and Meghan. Being belittled for every little thing, yet never being congratulated for the good you did. She was called the peoples princess for a reason. She tired to do so much good.

I would disagree with calling her a role model for women everywhere. I'm a man and I find plenty of admirable qualities about her that make her role model worthy. She was kind to everyone, and thus inspiring to everyone. We should all aspire to that, and knowing the pain and mental health issues she faced only makes it even more impressive that she stayed so kind and gentle-hearted her whole life.

You don't need to be a conspiracy theorist to know that she was murdered. You just need common sense.

One of my favorite stories about Diana is how she not only advocated for AIDS patients but she actually went out of her way to humanize them as at the time there were so many misconceptions about the disease that people believed you could become infected just by touching an AIDS patient, something Diana helped prove completely false and bring more awareness and understanding by holding the hands of AIDS patients and shaking their hands. I remember one of the nurses saying how kind Diana was to everyone around here, even when the cameras weren’t around. I also remember seeing a little girl from a children’s hospital being interviewed after Diana’s death and she said that Diana actually wrote a personal letter to her after visiting her in the hospital and that just really shows how empathetic and genuine she really was.

For post Mortem: You didn’t mention the 9 photographers chasing them, on Motorcycles, (9,likely on 5 motorcycles) who forced the driver into speeding & the accident. A quick Google search told that although they were all charged with Manslaughter, none were convicted.

Its funny how the paparazzi wasn't charged for her death for chasing after her and not even trying to help her but instead just taking pictures

I share her Brthday. Dame year too. I remember being heartbroken when she passed. She was a lovely soul and her love for her boys was always on display in the natural way a mother adores her children. May she RIP

Imagine telling Diana that she is chubby, and at the same time cheating on her with CAMILA. Seriously, WTF.

The paparazzi who chased her like insane hungry dogs never faced any repercussions either did they? Plus they were filming the entire scene as the people were dying, how inhumane do you have to be to do that?

I feel like this is the saddest unsolved episode so far. People looked to her because she showed genuine care and interest in the underprivileged, something pretty much unseen in the royal family. I can’t imagine how different the world would be if she had lived.

where I live, ems stabilizes the patient as much as possible and transports. unless it's a trauma alert (bad accident) then they're flown from the scene to the nearest trauma hospital
