Decades ago I was visiting my Grandmother and she asked me to go to the cellar and bring her cactus upstairs. I said okay. Access to the cellar was from the outside. I walked downstairs into this dark and dank room that only had one light bulb. It was hard to see. I located her cactus in the very back, against the wall. I immediately noticed that it was quite tall. In fact it had literally grown straight up to the ceiling, about seven feet. But that’s not the best part. It had grown from there across the ceiling almost to the door, which was maybe another six feet!!?? As I was staring at this cactus I was totally blown away how it had grown straight up and then across the ceiling because it had no more room. There’s was no way that I would of been able to move it without breaking it, it had to weigh a ton. She passed away a few years later and I always wondered about what happened to that cactus. It was amazing.

I think it's very disrespectful for a tenant to trash or ruin the property they rent. I've been renting since I was 16 (About 12 years now.) I've always treated the properties with respect, as though I owned them. People should take pride in their abode.

@@MowerManDan most of the problem is the tenant but the owner is part of the problem for not checking on the property regularly and either they clean it up by whatever date you want or they are evicted. you also need to have a very strong lease. no fooling around.an owner should never let a property get this bad.

@@MowerManDan Oh yeah . . . I get that! I used to clean houses for Century 21 Real Estate Services and at apartment complexes . . . open the fridge and empty the stomach, that quick!!! I just mowed my yard, took a bit over 5 hrs. and didn't get the back completed. Hopefully tomorrow, but this lupus isn't very nice to me! Have a huge headache and back is just completely wrecked! Busted open a blood blister on my arm trying to get a limb from neighbors tree unstuck from fence. My struggle is getting more real every year. :( How's that ADORABLE baby doing and, of course your lady too? You guys are so blessed! ♥

A year or two ago owners in our street had to strip their rental property down to bare concrete. All inbuilt cupboards, carpets etc had to be removed and a drug certification clean had to be done before they were allowed to rent the property out again. Very sad.

Good to see you guys had a bit of fun in a big clean up job like this. Who won in the darts games? I think it's disrespectful for a tenant to trash a property. It's not difficult, unless you have a disability that prevents you from doing so, to clean and maintain a flat or house. Keep up the good work and great content Dan, I liked this type of video, is it a regular service that your business provides? Outdoor clear ups or was this a favour for a mate?

Also I don't currently have the ability to do these big clean ups through my business as I don't have the $ for hiring skips and all that as that comes straight out of pocket until the bill is paid. But I normally pass these jobs onto Dave and work for him

@@MowerManDan That's messed up, how does a Support Worker justify their job if they trash their own home. I understand that people have a rough run and its not always possible to clean your own home, especially with the Support Worker wage and hours but surely no-one could justify living in a house with a yard like that. Also, I think it's great that you pass on these jobs to Dave then work for him, it works out beneficial for both of you.
