3 time cancer survivor here. This song hit me so hard, not because it reminds me of what I've been through, but because I remember seeing what it did to my family. I never felt sorry for myself, I felt sorry for my sisters who drove 1600 miles to stay with me, drive me to my chemo and radiation treatments, help me make it to the bathroom every 30 minutes to puke my guts out. I remember hearing them downstairs crying and praying to God to let me live. Cancer doesn't just hurt the victims, it hurts the families even worse.

Tom is NOT a Rapper, Singer, Writer, or Philosopher. He's a true ARTIST. This is a rare. We're all blessed to have that divine spark. But some rare individuals 🔥 with it brightly.

I listened to this song while I was going thru treatment for liver cancer , This song and many more by Tom got me thru some very dark dark times been in remission for 3yrs now but thanks to Tom he helped me thru and I was lucky enough to tell him too , He was quite humble and really genuine as a person I now listen to Tom everyday as I have purchased every Cd he has more diversity in his music then another rap artist which sets him apart from the main stream musicians

Lost my Father to Cancer. It sucked and I still get emotional when I think of him!

As a survivor of Leukemia this song makes me cry every time. Of the 40 people on my ward only 2 of us survived taking an experimental Chemo for a year. The fear and pain for the family is real. I can say after being in remission for 13 years the drug study I was on had amazing results and went on the market 2 years ago. Is is so sad that it wasn't available to all the patients on the ward with me. Great reaction... emotional song....

My Mom is a cancer survivor and went through it first. Sadly my Dad passed from stomach cancer. In my mind, I thought it would be the other way around. My Dad, at 80 years old could kick most people's butts 30 years his junior. Tough as nails and the picture of health. Great reaction. Yeah my brother died at the age of three, I was two. Then my dad died of cancer at the age of forty one. I believe in laying on hands, speaking in tongues, anointing with oil, praying and fasting for the person that is sick. We have these things that god gave us. Testimonies are very real Vanassa and you'll know what Jesus can do. There is a reason for us to go through trials and tribulations. Most of the time its for you to come to Jesus. Praying for the person you know that has cancer,that god will put his healing hands upon them. Find a Nondenominational church and ask it they are baptized in the Holy Spirit (speaking in tongues). I was in Almosa CO looking for a church and it was under Nondenomination but when we went to the church and I asked if they spoke in tongues she said no they don't believe in it. We didn't return. It's in th he book of John chapter 3. I was sent by God to this small church and it was like no other religion I've been to. I went to few religions seeking for forgiveness for my sin that religions don't believe that God forgives. They was ALL wrong. God forgives ALL sins except one "THE DENIAL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT". i’ve been an HOG army soldier for about three years. And I’m a grandma who’s fixing to turn 60 this year. But my heart is still young. Hated rap until I came across Tom. I tell my adult daughters that he’s my adopted son because that’s how much I love him. 😅Like a son. 🫶🏼 It’s crazy. I’ve got nine or 10 or more 🤷‍♀️ of Toms albums, all kinds of HOG clothing, etc. etc. I have a hog necklace that I wear to work so everyone can see it, and I’m a nurse at a major hospital. My Daddy got diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and not the kind from smoking either it’s where he did construction work and became a supervisor worked at the same company for 36 years. This song always makes me tear up. I lost my dad @ (47), mom @ (60) and younger brother @ (30) all to 3 different types of cancer =_(. On a positive note my son was diagnosed with stage 4 testicular cancer at 26 and went threw 2 1/2 years of chemo, 4 surgeries and a stem cell transplant and he is now 32 and cancer free. Knock on wood. It was hard going thru that with my son knowing the bad outcomes from the other family members but my son was a HS football player and wrestler and had the fighting spirt it took to beat it. I will say I say and took care of my father for 3 months when he was dieing of cancer. I would go to my mom and dads every day after work and would sit in a chair beside his bed every night then at 7:30 every morning my wonderful wife would come and help my mom until I got home from work. I would do it over and over again in a heartbeat but most of my brothers and sisters got extremely mad because I didn't pray for GOD to cure him or just not let him die. I prayed over and over again that my father would repent and accept Our SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST in his heart and soul and my prayers were answered at that moment that my dad was saved I was ready to let him go and to this day I am still at peace with his passing. And to this day my brothers and sisters haven't found peace and release from their pain. What this life has to offer isn't worth worrying over but what JESUS has to offer is priceless and eternal. GOD Bless and keep you.
