Awww that is very cute, I think if you put the mat on a black or white floor it adds to the illusion making the cats even more confused. It is good to see the cats are doing OK, they seem to be more of a family now and Soni and Baby Angel still like to play fight even though both are a bit older. Blessings to your cute cat family.

It's very estonishing to see all four cats how they are now. Especially Angel has grown into a very beautiful cat. I'm surprised and happy all four sibblings are healthy and playful. I guess it just proves that cats can see and can be cautious when needed. If dad avoids the "hole" then the cats should too. Heck, if I saw that mat for the first time I would be cautious too. Probably with enough fur and fluff on the mat the cats wont be so cautious.

Cats don’t see the illusion at all. They have many sharp senses. They know a hole has a draft, distant smells, sounds etc
