There's a pale grey swirly carpet that doesn't look too bad as a ceiling. The carpet texture just looks a little popcorny.

I have been using just the EA swatches (and snowy escape landscape tiles) to make indoor pools that have landscaping with the sky one so me too

Sims team should have included ceiling swatches if they now allow you to paint ceilings. Things like blue sky with clouds, the galaxy and a moon, etc. That would be cool. You always make such cute houses.

In real houses where I've seen the wallpaper going into the ceiling thing work the best it's been done with a feature wall into the ceiling so it's not so overpowering. That actually looks really cool when it's wood slats going up and into the ceiling.

Either that or there's wall details like wainscoting or board and batten that help break it up. I've also seen it work with most the walls matching the ceiling, but there's an accent wallpaper/mural to break it up as well

I’m still never going to use ceiling paint, simply because I don’t want to weight my saves down with something I’m not even going to see during gameplay, but I really enjoyed watching Kayla use it and get creative!

I love the ceiling paint inspired rooms! Fun. A nice charcoal grey might tie the bed and ceiling together in the space room. The sheets are a light grey and a dark grey wouldn’t conflict with the bed and might look really good with the blue purple ceiling.

I like to imagine that the whole ceiling of the house downstairs was that dark wood in the garage but after the family figured out the aesthetics and decor of the rooms they painted over the wood so it would match better

Really really love this build. Super modern but I love how the kids rooms are so unique!! Also, I hate to be a brat, but there were quite a few slip ups with editing in this video. Looks like a few clips that were supposed to get deleted still stayed in. It doesn't really bother me but might be confusing to other viewers!

As a webcomic artist who is making "sets" for backgrounds in The Sims 4 and then screenshotting angles for loose tracing, these kinds of details are way better to visualize while building rather than experimenting after the screenshot is taken!

i just found out i was pregnant and weve been planning the nursery, when you did the galaxy room, it was exactly what i was envisioning for our kid, we are using a lot of gray tones as the base color for a lot of it, but white or black would match beautifully and the ceiling with the cantillations is the dream

For the fake desk, you could have gotten a small desk, side it down and place it under the console table so you can put a laptop on it. Then hide the small desk with like a pouf or something so the console is functional as a desk

i really like your builds, i just wish the tours at the end were slower and from sim perspective (not sure how you call it, but deligracy does the tours in a certain way). like this you could also see the ceilings better :)
