It’s disingenuous to say that anyone who has a bad trip either has underlying mental health issues or just needs to undergo an “ego death” to ‘learn’ from the drug. I’ve done psychedelics more than 100 times and of those, maybe 5-6 resulted in a negative experience. So I’m not against the substances whatsoever and advocate heavily for their legalization and use in medicine.

Since two people can trip at the same time on the same hot and one person can transcend while the other just sees travers means that it 100% effects everyone differently which means. Their are people that one of hit of lsd could last 18 hours for them. I took a 150ug hit the other night and tripped for 10 hours. Yeah that’s pretty large for a standard hit but still. The dude beside me was having afterglow for like the entire next day. I was fine by the time I went to bed that night. I think when people say the trip lasted that long there adding the afterglow effects into the equation.

@ASMRain It happen to me also. My mother was given an ultimatum. To either remove me from the public school that I was attending or too take me in to see a doctor for being adhd. I was 12 years old when this happen, and meds prescribed to me from a doctor was my introduction to relying on drug use for problems or issues that 1 might face in life. Before being medicated at 12 I never had no desire to use drugs & then not long afterwards, there wasn't a drug to dangerous or taboo for me too atleast try. I hid my drug use from adults pretty good as a child but neglecting my responsibilities seemed to be 1 notable side effect that was impossible for me to hide. By the time I became an adult. I didn't even last a whole year before eventually being convicted of a felony. ( possession of marijuana over 30 grams ) This arrest took place the last trimester of my senior year of High School. After being released from jail 6 months later. Entering the world as an adult & a convicted felon & with no H.S. diploma or GED. I entered it feeling lost & with a huge chip on my shoulder. It was like at that point, I didn't even attempt to try and hid my drug use. I would snap out of being a loser from time to time and try and get my stuff together but for the most of my twenties. I was a P.O.S. I sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if I would have never been medicated and introduced to addiction as a child. Was addiction inevitable for my life? I don't know but I think that it is a darn shame that I wasn't given a chance to find out that answer on my own and without the *INTERVENTION* of the system's experiment or ideas of drugging children who have supposed behavior/focus issues.
