This was basically that season's play-in game for the #4 spot in the CFP. With both teams having easy schedules the rest of the way after this, the winner would be in the drivers' seat for that final spot while the loser would be on the outside looking in. And that's exactly how the rest of the season played out.

If UC is undefeated when the time comes = The Playoff committee needs to acknowledge UC's greatness and rank them as the #4 team in CFB when they come out with their rankings. Oregon was knocked out of the top 10/15 by Stanford. Iowa plays Penn State this week which means one of those two will be knocked out of the top 6. So if UC wins next week they will be #5.

This win means more and more every week. Notre Dame got blazed by a less than mightier team. Flashy only highlight cycle teams shouldn't beat you. Kelly needs to move some DBS to outside linebacker and inside linebackers to tackle positions who can get off the hike quicker to disrupt the pocket protection.

I'm an Ohio State fan, but of Cincinnati and Ohio State ended up playing in the Fiesta Bowl and undefeated Cincinnati was able to win, not only would it be the biggest win in program history but it could give them a serious national title claim.

I would not go that far. OSU played Oregon who lost to Stanford, but Stanford is never an easy win for anybody and OSU is looking much better the last 2 games on defense. OSU is coming.

U got three of those teams right… I don’t know how anyone could say osu is making the playoffs at this point. Iowa Michigan or penn state will give them at least one loss. Plus osu defense is horrendous

@@bmoney3616 they have the O to score on anyone and the d improves every week. Defense was horrendous week 2 but they've made intense pretty overwhelming adjustments. A horrendous d can turn solid within weeks in college football.
