from the 6th question i understood that "Kubernetes does not restrict PVs to a namespace" we can claim a pv from pv-claim located in any namespace. in the 7th its easy to just create a nodeport service and later edit to correct the port number rather than , outputing to yaml and add nodeport then kubectl apply. will there be any question to add manual endpoint to external service? thanks for the video 😀

1, Persistent Volumes are not namespaced. They exist at the cluster level and are accessible to Pods in any namespace, as long as their access modes and other requirements are met. But Persistent Volume Claims are namespaced. They reside within the namespace they are created in and cannot be accessed or used by Pods in another namespace 2, editing is easy for serving the service to a specific Node port 3,not sure

I think Q.6 asks us to bound the PV to PVC before creating the deployment, did we achieve that here ? My PV is not going into "bound" state, its in "available" state.

@@kubernetesway Thanks for your quick response, would really appreciate if you can show the status of PV after creating PVC. Also, how did the deployment file work without updating the "volumemounts" Name: ? for me it gave error and I had to update the Name to "web-pv" Error: The Deployment "web-deploy" is invalid: spec.template.spec.containers[0].volumeMounts[0].name: Not found: "task-pv-storage"

6th question... how does PVC get bound to PV here... neither labels, storage class in their yamls and neither mentioned in the deployment .

The storage class is not mandatory for creating a Persistent Volume, but it can be used to dynamically provision storage based on predefined storage classes. In a Kubernetes environment, when you create a PersistentVolume (PV) with a specific capacity, and then create a PersistentVolumeClaim (PVC) that requests storage of the same or lesser capacity, the PVC will bind to the PV if the capacity and access modes match.

The local provisioner dynamically provisions a new PV everytime and my PVC, even though it matches the access modes and capacity, doesn't get bound to my PV
