This was a really great video. I started dabling with this kinda stuff and it is really well explained. But i have an issue. I don't have access to my Certificate File. My SSL Certificates are handled by my domain provider ? Could you explain how i would set that up ? I would also be greatful if you could just tell me how this thing im trying to do is called. I don't know what to search for so its hard to look up.

In the first question I saw that you login in controlplane with ssh. What it the password that you use to enter it.

Hi, first of all, thank you for this great video, the questions shared and everything. Let me correct a few things about question 6 (deployment, pv and pvc). At 10:05 in the video, if you check, your pvc is bound to another persistent volume (created automatically) called pvc-bf5325ef-81... which is not the PV you created. To fix this in your killercoda k8s cluster, you must set in pv.yaml and pvc.yaml the storageClassName to " "(no defined) as asked in the question. spec: storageClassName: "" If you don't do this, what will happen is what you can see at 5:08 in the video, the pvc is automatically assigned to the "local-path" storageClass path. Hi Bro, I followed these same steps in killercoda, i got this error "Error from server (Forbidden): nodes is forbidden: User "kubernetes-admin" cannot list resource "nodes" in API group "" at the cluster scope". Any idea what issue it is.

Hi , can you please help me with solution for cluster upgrade from version 1.28 to 1.29 ? Is process for cluster upgrade has been changed ? Do we need to follow any additional steps from the one which we used to perform earlier while doing kubeadm cluster upgrade process?

Hi, I am getting Connection Refused while executing telnet from both the pods. I tried on killercoda and Minikube by creating 3 pods and exposing their port specified in question. What could be the reason? --- Question 10

I think Q.6 asks us to bound the PV to PVC before creating the deployment, did we achieve that here ? My PV is not going into "bound" state, its in "available" state.

Weren’t you already in the control plan for q1? Why did you need to ssh in? What are you entering as the password when you ssh in to controlplane?

I love your video just a small comment on the Q14, I think you are wrong, kubectl get nodes -o jsonpath='{.items[*].spec.taints}' output does not indicate that the control plane is unschedulable. it just returns all of the taints available on all of the nodes.. also even with that taint existing , if the toleration is provided, the workload would be scheduled.. the CKA question is bit malformed and tricky

For 3rd question, you have to create pod in node01

Hi sir, please correct me if I am wrong. In the second part it says "The PVC should bound to the PV correctly". So I think you should have bound the PVC and PV together. As it can be seen on the last command which is "k get pvc -n production", the PVC bounded to a dynamically created PV and StorageClass is local-path. With the storageClassName: "" (empty string) value in both PV and PVC and in the PVC with "selector.matchLabels.{type: local}" parameters they can be bound with each other.

How do insert sidecar to existing pod, running with container that has volume mounted to path that is in the ENV Variable. For example, Existing pod: Name: some name Image: some image env: - name: LOG_FILENAME value: /var/log/big-corp-app.log Sidecar: Insert sidecar in the existing pod with below details: image: busybox:1.28 command: "tail -n+1 -f /var/log/big-corp-app.log" Use a Volume, mounted at /var/log Make the log file big-corp-app.log available to the sidecar container. How to answer this question?

Was aske to create PVC and class path was provided. I checked for PV, but there was none. So I created PVC using class path and PVC was in bound status. Should I have created PV?

ETCD question with below path file provided. I did not get chance to attempt this question since this doesn't look like ETCD backup. Seems like question was to create secure connection. Do you know how to answer this question? /etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/peer.crt /etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/peer.key /etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/ca.crt

Question regarding un-schedulable worker node and rescheduling all the Pods... What if the POD is volume Mounted with secret or ENV variable but not with Empty_Dir {}. How to reschedule the Pods to different node?
