I have been there. I went to the pool, movie theatre, soccer field and theatre. But they will never show you those sites.

I was there as a young man in 1988. I saw a group of Israeli teenagers, crying like mad. There was a quote from the Torah on the wall: Rachel weeps because her children are no more. ...I was frozen seeing that. So much sadness.

As a young G.I. stationed in Germany, I went through Dachau on 1 May 1968. It was shattering to me, and I'm not Jewish. How these two hold it together, I don't know. Much respect, and thank you. This should never be forgotten, and never out of mind.

I am not a Jew, a Roma, a Slav, gay, communist, or any other of the minorities that the Nazis deemed sub-human, but I have seen, read and studied the horrors perpetrated in the camps. This film, of Wolf and Dana walking through perhaps the most famous of these killing factories is one of the most emotional films I have seen because of their direct connection. LET US NEVER FORGET.

My Grandfather was a soldier in WWII. He was on Omaha Beach during D-Day and one of the soldiers who liberated a Death Camp. He could barely talk for 5 years after he got back to the United States due to what he saw and smelled.

I was there about 15 years ago with a Polish girlfriend at the time. Undoubtedly the worst feeling in the world. Something very eerie about the place. Not a place you would visit more than once.

If this story was true, people would be inviting criticism. They would want the truth to speak for itself and make the deniers look like fools. What happened here is simply unspeakable. Let's try to not minimize -- let alone deny what happened. The Germans did this also to the Herero people in Namibia at the end of the 19th C -- where they first practiced the techniques of mass racial extermination. Millions from other groups were also killed shamefully in WW2, namely: Poles, the Russian people generally (the numbers and methods here are simply jaw dropping), the Chinese, the Burmese, European Allied servicemen, and also Post-war German POWs (we're talking up to 4 million of the last group - which were forced into the army on threat of death - so it's not excusable). What makes the Holocaust particularly and uniquely chilling is the massive forethought, profiling, mechanization, and systematization of the mass murder. Those combined aspects of it, and the whole scale slaughter of so many children, rather than simply sheer numbers (which are bested by other mass killings of civilians), is what sets the Holocaust apart. It's our duty, however, to call out similar - if less heinous - acts of atrocity where they occur today, such as the mass murder of Iraqi, Libyan, and Afghani civilians by the US military (or earlier, Quechua and Vietnamese peoples), the mass sterilization, internment, and, yes, murder of Uighur people by Xi JinPing (his regime vs. that of Hu JinTao, for example, is uniquely responsible), crimes against Palestinian civilians, collective punishment for the crimes of a few, asymmetric war response, and denial of basic human rights to non-combatant Palestinians, mass murder of Syrians by Saudi-American backed jihadi terrorists, and by B. al Assad, Putin's invasion of Ukraine when he already had Crimea, the list goes on and on and on...

It's very hard for ultra-sensitive people like me and my 33 yr old son, to live in a world with such cruelty. My dad was born in 1939 at the old charity hospital in New Orleans, and was given up for adoption. A few years ago I found out his parents were a Jewish couple from Eastern Europe. For a Jewish couple to give up a child, they must've been truly destitute. I can only imagine what they had endured to get here. I wasn't raised Jewish, but it's weird, I always felt like I was. Hard to explain. Seeing Dana and Wolf standing in that awful place made me cry so hard. It's hard to watch but we owe it to them to SEE and remember.

Millions died during WW2 not just a certain demographic they always want to be the highlight of remembrance whilst ignoring others who suffered to be insignificant in comparison.

I have family from Poland, so I visit Poland and these places quite often. What is disgusting for me, is seeing comments from Trump supporters, like in this comment section, who deny Holocaust and other atrocities that Germans committed against Jews, Poles, Roma, etc. The fact that Trump was once president of the US, and still could be in the future, yet he encourages a crowd of Nazis today and Holocaust deniers, is horrid. what happened to the US that this is who we elect as president and that he has such a big support, still, here? I'm ashamed!
