I haven't been following this on a daily basis, but if the Big2 split from the NCAA, would that prevent those schools from participating in the NCAA sponsored March Madness? Apologies if this is a redundant question.

They don't even need to break away because they already control the system. Soon the P2 will have all the best football players and football teams. So they will probably eliminate the auto-qualifiers and guaranteed payments because they will take all the 12+ Team Playoff spots every season due to their growing talent and financial advantages.

Yup, they are allowing the system to favor the P2 organically so the G-8s choose to break off on their own. Especially after the B1G and SEC add the remaining valuable schools because they will have all the best players. So they will most likely eliminate all the playoff auto-qualifiers and guaranteed payments because their teams will take all of the 12+ Team Playoff spots every season and the P2 will probably split all their playoff revenue with each other.

@@IOS336this. People can argue revenue fanbases etc. But there are at least half a dozen teams in the XII and ACC should be in over the bottom of the SEC and B1G

Tiered collective bargaining?😂😂. That's moronic. Unions and you think dans are going to continue to spend what they do to support their alma mater or their team? Once we officially bail on amateur athletics that support will die in a hurry. I will no longer watch and most people i know feel the same. I've slready closed my rivals account. I usually subscribe to a streaming service and espn for football season. I may not this year.

The only fans threatening to stop supporting college football are fans of teams in the ACC and Big12. That's why they are falling behind financially and talent wise because they don't have large enough fan bases.
