Sorry to be the one who breaks it to you, but your not prepared for anything. What exactly are you prepared to do? Live in a box, eating freeze dried food and shit in a bucket? Use your stuff now while your learning to live off the land. I am in no way a “Prepper”, knowledge is the only preparation you need. If your back to watch this video tomorrow then at least your a “Survivor”, you know what it takes to stay alive for one more day. Keep doing that, you will be fine.

Micro cord is 1.18mm thick and 100lb test. Nano cord is 0.75mm thick and 36lb test.

​@@cujomojo2007 see that right there is more than enough to keep me with paracord and bank line. With such a low test weight all I can think about is how much more often repairs would have to be made. Nah, if I were gonna use micro or nano it would only be in my sewing kit for heavy duty repairs but there again too when I go out to the wild I'm out for up to a week at a time so it only behooves me to use paracord or bank line for bush projects.

I did mention that I used to use braided fishing line, not really cost effective for what I want to use it for. I’m never going to need 300lb line to tie a few sticks together or a few guy line’s. I can get a couple of rolls of Nano cord for a fraction of the cost of spool of good saltwater braid, and having it on several rolls means I can space it out amongst my kit without having to re-roll it onto separate spools.

BUT YOU KNOW EVEN NORMALL FISHING LINE , SAY , 12 TO 17 LB MONO WILL HOLD DOWN TARPS IN SOME PRETY HIGH WINDS. THE THING IS TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND GET OUT OF THE BOX.
