Fun little fact, a lot of English to Russian translations aren’t word for word. Russian can be simplified so in English you say “I am going to the store” but in Russian it can be just “I go store”. It’s not always not having a great command of English but usually just directly translating Russian to English with out knowing all the quirks of English. Also the word “the” doesn’t exist in Russian.

Funfact: Cosmo is inspired by Laika, a dog from the USSR. They sent her into space, knowing she would never come back home. She later died. But she was created as a what if Laika survived but was taken by aliens who gave her powers and a new home. So here's my personal headcanon on how Laika and Cosmo are the same person: When Laika was sent into space, the Sputnik 2 was sent on fire, burning her, she was about to die until the GOTG and Sliver surfer were just through at the time, they saw what was going on, so they immediately rushed in to save her but by the time they got her out and took her to Knowhere, it was too late, she already been boiled and fried to death, so the Knowhere Corp, decided to put her back together and revived her, later she renamed herself cosmo the goodest of all dogs.

From the way it went I think technically she's a part of the "Annihilators" now, which was the successor team that Cosmo was in charge of putting together on behalf of Star Lord after the disbanding of the Guardians in the comic. Obviously it happens differently in the MCU but I assume this was the arc they're going for.

I think Dogs already make themselves pretty clear. They make different sounds and expressions that are similar to us depending on the situations. My dog when he wants to get out and it's too late, I just tell him "no", and he reacts in a similar way, with a loud frustrated "Oooh..." before going in another room to pout XD.

I'm sure CGI played a role in the filmed range of expressions but Cosmo the actor ("?") had to have some Irish Setter. Funny dog and very definitely a visitor to our planet; one silent look from mine and I knew exactly where I stood with her. Occasionally she would also tell me quite directly.

Lol!! The reason why he saying she cheated is because with the arrow, he can point it in the direction of where he wants it to go. She on the other hand is guiding the stone to each point. They did a great job with Cosmo/Laika. But I kind of prefer cannon. Laika is a guardian of the galaxy, that is not all that friendly with the sloppy Guardians of the Galaxy. Much stronger in Canon. And more.... Morality infused "Dog like".
