I need more intellectualism than a catchy hook and lyrics, such as "you need to calm down. It's the "girl squad", it's the running through ex-boyfriends and recycling the same lyrical content about breakups, it's the calculated marketing in order to build a brand with "commercial success" as the end goal, it's the flailing her arms about at public events and side-eyeing to check that someone is filming her which screams of narcassism. It's the whole package that is deplorably one-dimensional and boringly stereotypical. That's the point that Courtney was making. Courtney Love definitely has definitely been in the music business a long time, and she has helped set the role for women in alternative/grunge/punk/heavy metal music, so she is a musical influence, and has had some rough years with her addiction but we need to be lifting eachother up not tearing eachother down. I don't know if it was anything bad she said necessarily, she just gave her honest opinion. 🤔

What? She writes songs about guys she's dated that everybody knows who they are, yet shows no restraint on publicly destroying them with her music, and doesn't care if the press, and then her fans go to their social media's to try and finish the job. She acts like there was only one person in all her relationships, and that it was just all the other several person's fault that it didn't work out. If she had been a girl in a public school, the boys she spouted hate writings about to everyone would make her allowed to be sued for defamation, but I guess because people like the music, and because people are afraid of more retaliation, people turn a blind eye to the constant public humiliation of others from her. Not to mention that she cheated on one guy she was with, and flew off to a whole other country for awhile so she herself didn't have to face the press or public, then came back hiding her face behind sunglasses, and then wrote more songs to publicly put down the one guy SHE victimized, including the guy she ran off with that tried to comfort her about all the stuff said about her cheating, that was in the press. How does that make her completely innocent, and a great role model? I hate knowing all of that, I myself don't care for her music, but anything about her is everywhere, all the time. And knowing all that and NOT turning a blind eye to it, and how she can't even handle the smallest of jokes put out with her name involved.. I can't help but see her as mostly a hypocrite..
