Queen Camilla has visited the recently restored Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings where she met local volunteer groups including a food hub, she also unveiled a plaque to commemorate the event. Report by Matt Blair.

I agree. I always think, how humble she is. When shaking peoples' hands, when they bow or curtsey to her, she nearly always does an involuntary little shoulder bow back, almost, it's like a "namaste": she doesn't stay ramrod straight as the previous Queen did. It's like she always remembers her roots, she always gives the dignity back to the other person, but she's carrying out this enormous job all alone, with great grace. Very brave, for a fairly introverted person.

Day after day I watch these videos and think of those who say the royal family does nothing for their allowance. As if it takes no preparation nor energy to call on different groups and leave them with a sense that their work is appreciated. Royalist or not the good work of caring is a big deal to all of us.

You know it doesn't really matter what other people think because the royal family pay their own allowance. They donate 1/2 a billion pounds to the government and the Treasury every year and then their expenses are taken out of that so something you should know if you're going to speak about it.

The Queen is doing a marvellous job . Her Reading Club/Room initiative is worthy , important and excellent so I do hope that , to coin a ghastly phrase , she takes 5 minutes to “read the room” and express to The King the horror and disgust felt by so many people that an Islam flag is apparently , currently flying over Westminster Abbey . The Abbey is a Royal Peculiar so permission must have been granted by The King ? How to alienate people , it should be taken down immediately and Welby defrocked. Imo

They are given away to local causes; the flowers to elderly care homes, toys to children's homes, etc. On this occasion the 'posters' from the 2 girls for Princess Catherine will go to Catherine as they have no monetary value (just kind messages) and the drawing of King Charles and Camilla will remain with them.
