@ErikDJ123Місяць тому
If this were true it would be able to articulate better than a skateboard. That rigidity with zero wheel travel that the video demonstrates will fail on a lot of terrain. Real offroad vehicles can keep their wheels on the ground over uneven terrain. This is the fault of the air suspension set on max height. It reduces wheel travel to near zero.

I'm still on the fence about electric vehicles for me personally, but there is no doubt this is an amazing engineering accomplishment. Well done!
@adrianthoroughgood1191Місяць тому
It's going to take a couple of decades to build enough EVs for everyone. If you want to wait at the back of the queue and let other people go first that's no problem at all. By the time you have to switch all the kinks will be ironed out and range and charging will be much improved. Just look how far things have come in the last 14 years!

Thats so cool! Tesla is the one car brand that really makes me excited for cars and vehicle technology, normally I'm more the "as long as it gets me from A to B, I'm good"-type of person.

The impressive thing for me is the fact that it's on the stock tires, just look at the tread pattern. But I do realize the amount of weight on those tires is significant hence the insane grip!

I've only seen a few of these attacks, but this one looked effortless compared to a couple of the Rivian and even Jeep clips.
@aravindradhakrishna8660Місяць тому
It will look effortless because it is posted by Tesla themselves, and not some independent reviewers or off-roaders.
@andrasbiro3007Місяць тому
@@aravindradhakrishna8660 It looks effortless because it is. The trick is that they likely hired a professional driver and/or practiced a lot. Electric cars have a lot of torque and it's independent of rpm, plus they have very low center of mass due to the battery, so they are excellent at climbing. The only issue the CT had so far was the disabled lockers, as soon as one wheel lost traction, it got stuck. This video likely means that the lockers are finally available. Also, I haven't seen a proper off-road test by anyone who knows how to drive off-road. There were a few tests by pros, but they haven't posted any videos, just short clips.
@hummerguyМісяць тому
Honestly, this has a lot to do with the driver, a good driver would go up hell's revenge effortlessly in both a rivian and jeep.
@apekatt2007Місяць тому
