Imagine being the people at the side of the road at the end and just seeing an ostrich chasing two bikers being followed by a cameraman

Ostrich: "Hey man, I just wanted to let you know that there´s a guy following you with a camera!"

Another proof that the cameraman never dies. That Ostrich straight up skipped him and went after the cyclists.

I love the three people on the side of the road, watching three bicycles and an ostrich fly by. It's like "welcome to Africa".

This actually reminds me of being chased by a herd of buffaloes during my college days. All the four people including me ran like olympic sprinters that day to escape from being trampled by the herd 😂

Imagine being the people who had parked their car at the side of the road to enjoy the scenery and all of the sudden three people on bicycles and an ostrich goes by.

Giant ostriches are extremely fast. They can run continuously at speeds greater than 30-35 mph. Top speed exceeds 40 mph. He wasn't chasing, he was joining in. If he wanted to catch those cyclists, he easily could have.

One time when I was a teenager I rode my bicycle down a long private road near my house. On my way back home there was a group of 2-3 ladies riding horses in the road ahead of me. I figured if went by slow they wouldn't hear me coming for a while and might think I was eavesdropping on their conversation once they did realize I was there. So I decided to just book it as fast as I could go and figured at least they'd hear me coming and know that I wasn't trying to listen to their conversation. Turns out that was a bad idea- they didn't hear me coming at all until I went by them all of a sudden. The horses got startled and I think they bucked a little, but fortunately nobody fell off. The ladies immediately started cursing at me and pursuing after me on their horses. I had a ton of momentum built up from beforehand (I was probably going about 25 mph or so), so I was pretty far ahead of them once they reallized what happened, but they quickly started closing in me. All I can remember is being scared for my life on my bicycle on this long dirt road, peddling as fast as I could to try to get away from these gals on their horses cussing and swearing at me as I peddled harder and faster. At one point one of the horses was directly behind my head. I didn't literally feel it breathing on my neck, but I could hear it right behind my left shoulder. After that brief but very scary moment, the horses gradually got further behind me again, as I think they gave up chasing me, reallizing that if they caught me the horses would probably knock me off my bike and trample over me. I did try to apologize to them as I was speeding away, but understandably I had to save my breath mostly for peddling. That was a massive adrenaline rush. I never went down that private road on my bicycle ever again!

My family was raising a baby emu when I was little. That thing grew up ridiculously fast. Went from sitting in your hand to like 3 feet tall in a matter of a couple months it seems. Anyway, at around that age (3 feet tall) my Mom took me and my brother to an empty state park with the Emu. We went to the empty trailor lots grid, and rode bikes around weaving around wherever we wanted, and the emu was chasing us all around. It was so much fun. Then, when the emu was big enough to stay confined to the emu enclosure, we gave the emu back to grandma and didn't see them for a year or so. By that point, it was full grown and hated everybody. LOL! BTW, pro-tip. Never look into an emu's big ol' billiard-ball eyes. Or do... but realize that if you do, the emu WILL try to peck your eyes out. You think you're having a nice friendly moment looking into their big glossy eyes, and they lunge at you.

I was at a wild animal park in Missouri. Got out of the car for a better view, ostrich gave me a look and started coming my way... I jumped right back in the car with the quickness! The llamas were very smart. They would run in front of your vehicle and stop in an attempt to coerce you to throw food out the window (that you could buy at the entrance). Bottom line, I'm avoiding an ostrich altercation if at all possible. The look a bit goofy, but they are big and can be very aggressive.

I know birds sometimes imprint on moving things and go along with them. I had a Canada goose imprint on my car once and fly beside me for a couple miles. A two lane road in PA. You should have seen how fast the cars coming the other way were running off to the shoulder.

Impressive. I had a village dog run a trail/road run with me for 22k in Morocco, but nothing like this. Same dog did the same thing again six months later. Not a dog that knew me either, I was 7k from home when it started following me.
