Fun story about a mod abusing his power. We knew the guy from high school, and as such he lived close to us. He had been in the server for two years, but started abusing his power and being a dick. When the owner kicked him, he DDoS'ed the owner. The owner got tired of his shit, got three of his buddies, and they went to his house and beat the fucking tar out of him. Imagine the look on the guy's face when he figured out that he cannot mute punches.

I saw this video some time ago but never met a Discord mod. Last month I had the pleasure and it was crazy. Arbitrarily kicking people for asking a question, asking people what their username means and kicking them. Generally creating a complete hostile environment. I could really not believe what I was whitnessing and everybody else was confused also. I felt like under a dictatorship. Very crazy

I blame the owners for not teking a more active roll in mod policing. RuneScape had plenty of player mods but you didnt see them acting this way because they were respected, highly vetted, prone to strong rules, and quickly removed if they broke them.
