Literally got banned from the Death metal subreddit for not "reading the rules" when I did. Who would've thought a sub about death metal would be so bent over a rule that miniscule.

It's community service. While, yes, obnoxious and sometimes misguided, it's keeping the internet cleaner than what it could've been. It's just that there are no clear standards for modding and it can be a tyrannical thing. It's worse than any system of rules+rule interpretation that we have. Look at judges, police, government red tape.

Yeah, I get it sucks to see posts you've already seen...but I've left so many Reddit replies in the last ~10 years defending posts from people angry that they've seen it before, because I haven't seen it before - despite using Reddit a decent amount. Even more ridiculous is the comments complaining about seeing the same post in their feeds because it's posted on multiple different subreddits that they're all subscribed to....I mean, come on. Again, I get it's annoying but it's unfair to make it everyone else's problem. Now, accounts constantly reposting are a problem imo. Just not always the posting themselves, when it's been long enough.

I got permanently banned on r/youtube for saying that comments were getting automatically censored by youtube. Reason for ban was 'conspiracy theories'. That was a while ago now and...yeah. I think everybody knows how that happens now. I didn't know about the ban (cause I rarely use reddit) and posted a comment on r/youtube with my phone's reddit account a couple of months later. The mod then banned that account and threatened to get Reddit admins to IP ban my accounts for circulating their perma ban or something. I like how they think people are threatened by not having access to the site. The mod seriously thought that was a serious threat to make...

Nah the worst is being permanently banned for some stupid reason while the whole subreddit spends the entire time mocking, stalking, bullying and mocking you. Then you get banned over and over again for no reason other than ban evasion, which wouldn't happen if they didn't permanently ban people for any damn shitty reason in the first place.

I was on r/AskMen and someone asked us what are hobbies were. I merely just stated my hobbies and some crazy mod from that subreddit came out of nowhere saying "You men say women can't have those hobbies. So you can't either" and when I asked her why she is telling me this when all I did was list my hobbies and I never even said that sexist stuff about women in the first place. She temoparliy banned me for hate speech... Yes. I essentially got temoparliy banned for something I didn't even say just because the mod decided to make me her punching bag. Power hungry emotionally broken freaks is what reddit moderators are. I'm still baffled as to why I got punished for stuff I didn't even say or think or even agree with. All I did was list my hobbies. Women can and do have those hobbies too. I hate reddit mods
