Here there is like 500 things to customize so the joke is kind of funnier here, Even though it does come back later, there is less implication of this being the case here and it seems more like the game trolling you, where in Deltarune it's more of a short ominous creepy sequence with a mystery narrator that ends up Toby Fox-ing you at the very end with some minor implications of it coming back later to haunt you, but it doesn't take up too much of your time.

A breath of fresh air in the current video game space of "Ultra serious, you have to do everything in your power not to die" games.
