🍰 No Flour Starch Free Dessert, french dessert, spanish dessert. Ingredients:
Shape 12 cm, 15 cm
Milk... 250 ml
Cream 33% ... 250 ml
Egg yolks (medium) ... 5 pcs.
Vanilla extract... 2 tsp.
Salt... ¼ tsp.
Sugar... 100 g (to taste)
Sugar for caramel...
Bake at 150 degrees Celsius for 20-30 minutes

Today I'm making a French dessert, Creme Brulee. The most delicate vanilla cream, and on top is a crispy caramel crust made of burnt sugar. It's incredibly tasty. Many nations have similar desserts. For example, in Spain it is called Crema Catalana. And this is a very popular and famous dessert, and we also ordered it when we were in Barcelona. And in Vietnam this dessert is called flan, in the French style, and it is sometimes prepared not just as a cream, but also baked with a sponge cake. I have this recipe on my channel, if you are interested, I will leave a link under the video in the description. It is sometimes flavored with lemon, orange and cinnamon zest. There are many cooking options.
For the recipe I will need:
Add 5 yolks to a bowl
I add a pinch of salt and add about half the sugar.
Mix lightly with a whisk, no need to beat.
I pour milk and cream into a saucepan. Very often this dessert is prepared only with cream.
Add the remaining sugar. I stir.
I put the milk and cream on the stove and bring everything almost to a boil.
The milk has warmed up and the first bubbles begin to appear.
I remove the saucepan from the stove.
Pour hot milk with cream into the yolks
And I stir all the time so that the yolks do not curdle.
I add two teaspoons of vanilla extract.
I will bake my dessert in these ceramic forms, the diameter of these small ones is 12 cm and one large one is 15 cm. This is how dessert is baked in such ceramic forms in Spain.
Pour the egg-milk mixture through a sieve.
Then the dessert will have a smoother structure.
If there is still foam on the surface, you can remove it with a spoon.
I pour hot water into the pan.
And I put everything in a well-heated oven at 150° for about 20-30 minutes.
Of course you look at your oven. I place the tray with desserts on the middle level. The top and bottom of the oven are turned on. Depending on how dense the dessert is, how much time you want to bake it. The longer you bake it, the denser it becomes.
Dessert is ready. It turned out so very tender and there was such a slightly trembling center inside. I take the molds out of the water. I leave it to cool to room temperature. And then I put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
My dessert sat in the refrigerator for several hours. It has frozen well and is cold.
This dessert has such a distinctive feature. It is sprinkled with sugar on top, which then must be burned to create a sweet, crispy caramel crust made from sugar. For this I will use this brown cane sugar.
The sugar must be burned so that it melts in a way convenient for you.
I have this regular gas lighter. This is how beautiful it turned out.
The dessert can be decorated with a little berries and mint leaves. And to get to the cream you need to break through this sugar crust.
