Oh yeah Dan's Hershey obsession continues! Can't wait for the other characters. One thing I immediately noticed tho was how theres a strange divide between characters that are portrayed as being in their box and those that I portrayed as wearing their packaging as clothes. I guess it's so that the characters are more distinct because the majority I guess would look to similar to the regular Hershey Bar. Also were I'm from our chocolate still comes in foil packaging with plastic or paper labels so the revelation that Hershey isn't was shocking to me.

My fav design are the 2000's versions because they had those bright big ol' shoes, unlike the current versions where those no longer pop. I remember being disappointed with the change but I got over it. Haven't been to Hersheypark for years but the two times I was there I always look for the characters. I even got pulled up on stage one time for a live show starring the characters.

hey, i'm also Pennsylvanian! i've been to Hershey park so many times, because it's only like, an hour away from where i live. it's a neat place. it's like the Pennsylvanian Disney world... but with chocolate, since that's basically the only thing we're known for... besides Lebanon bologna and Middleswarth chips but a chocolate themed park is probably better than a Lebanon bologna or Middleswarth chip themed park.

The Wildcat that just closed is not the original Wildcat! This one actually opened in 1996. Also, Hershey Foods and Hershey Entertainment are actually 2 separate companies which a lot of people don’t realize. Chocolate World is owned by Hershey Foods and Hersheypark itself (and the concert venue, theater, and hockey team) are owned by Hershey Entertainment. Just some extra background for ya. :)

The 2000s mascots were my favorite! That was when I was a kid. I loved the Reese’s as it was my favorite chocolate bar.

I live in PA and I've never been to Hershey shockingly! If you ever decide to do another theme park mascot video for Pennsylvania, I would highly recommend Kenobles! We go there at least once every summer! I've watched documentary's on this place, there is so much to learn about such a small place

I've been to Hershey Park a few times as a person from New Jersey. My family and I stay at the Hershey Lodge and visit the park and local museum. Every visit feels like a new experience every time and I definitely feel like this is the closest experience I'll get to Disney World. And thankfully the costumes in the new millennium are less scary than the previous ones lol

Living in Pennsylvania all my life, I’ve been to Hersheypark every year at least twice. And I worked there for a summer. And yet, I’ve only missed a few of the characters, since there seem to be ones that they rarely bring out. But, maybe someday.

Enjoyed the video as someone who has been going to Hershey since the early 80s. Just one thing though, the 30s Wildcat is not the same one that they just closed (reworking into Wildcat's Revenge). That was came around at the end of the 90s.

When the 4D adventure first opened up, my cousin actually voiced Kiss. She doesn't work at chocolate world anymore, but I even got to see behind the scenes after the show.

My family and I do a tradition almost every Winter Break. We go down to Maryland to visit my cousins and we go to Hershey Park. We go on the Chocolate Tour, ride the rides that are open during that time, and cap it off by buying the famous 5 pound Hershey Bar! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🍫😋

I went to the Hershey Park once or twice as a kid, and besides the memory of being somewhat frightened by the Reese's Cup character (I somehow ended up getting a plush version of it though???), I went on the big scary spinning claw ride despite being really scared and ended up loving it. There was even a nice man who cheered me on and made me feel better.

My family never went to Disney or Universal or anything fun like that. But in 1999, on my final day of elementary school (Had to leave early, missed part of Field Day because of it), we went to Hershey. So I have nostalgia for it. Best part was the ride where you watch them make Kisses. And I remember having a bendy figure of the Hershey Bar for a long time after that trip. Back when he had the baseball hat.

I have never been to Hershey Park. However, I have gone to Idewilde Park in Letrobe, PA tons as a kid. Back then it was when they had a ride with the Neighborhood of Make Believe puppets, since it was so close to Mister Rogers' childhood home.

I met all the characters and I have a few photos from childhood and I remember when Kiss got the transformation when kiss went from a he to a SHE!! Which confused me at first but I liked the change. But yeah why did the Jolly rancher have toes?!

I was almost going to go to Hershey Parks as a teen. My mom and my sisters took a road trip to the park only to find it was off season thus it was closed. We ended up just hanging out at Chocolate World for a while than going to do something else in PA to make the trip worth it.

Some kids are terrified of the characters *now*, to the point of throwing screaming fits lol. I can't imagine how they got any children within 10 miles of those old designs.

The original Wildcat was a different Roller coaster from the modern one there closing.

Dan, you should look into the Columbus Zoo! We have 10 original characters and they are 20 years old this year. I was ‘friends’ with a few of them for a while, and I still help them out from time to time!

0:55 Sorry Dan, but as a fellow Hersheypark local and historian, there have actually been 2 Wild Cats in the park. The og Wild Cat (2 words) was opened as Hershey Park's (also 2 words, got combined in the 70s revamp) first coaster in 1935, and originally called The Joy Ride. This coaster closed and was demolished in 1945 to make room for the Comet (which still in the park today). The Wildcat (1 word) is the one that JUST closed, and was actually only opened in 1996, on the other side of the park. Fun fact, this Wildcat is highly suspected to become the newest RMC conversion... Check out Hersheypark Enthusiast's channel (thanks for mentioning him Dan!) for more info. My prediction is they will announce this in november (post halloween).
