its because the refereeing is better in women's football; most of these would get red cards in mens ball, but are actually only yellow card worthy.

Completely obvious what the problem is. The vast majority of these are red card dangerous play violations and the referees give them yellow cards at worst, thereby encouraging the behavior.

I just see some hard nosed defense, the way it oughta be all the time, everywhere. If someone beats you and has a breakaway, you take em out, let the ref assess a penalty. At least you stopped a goal in that moment. ::shrugs::
