His cry is not pushed at the moment of the striking as it would be normal to do it but it is pushed when the ball is already in the opponent camp and the opponent in full concentration to start preparation. It is in my eyes an authentic act of anti-game that it will take a long time that the ATP understands and sanctions because it is inadmissible.

I have no problem with players grunting when it's obvious it has to do with their breathing or whatever but he times his grunts, on purpose, to when the ball has already crossed the net. Tell me how his obnoxious grunt should not be considered hindrance at the 4:35 point for example.

Also, yes, Tsitsipas has no mental toughness in the most important matches and everyone who follows tennis even a bit knows that. He never wins these close three-setters and also loses most of the tiebreaks that he plays. There is clearly something that he needs to adjust because he seems overwhelmed in this kind of situations.

Tsitsipas looked quite fatigue in the end of the match, piles of UEs, albeit an epic match straddling two days. Hope he can recover soon and have a good preparation next time. Novak, maybe also Rafa, is the kind of player who pushes both the opponent and himself to extremity and finds a way out. Stef's already an incredible player, but he needs to learn how to win a match at extreme, or big moments, physically and spiritually.

@Ryo Shusuke I was taking a glance at RG odds and they're putting Medvedev in the top 5 favorites to win it. A guy who has never won a single match in RG. What an absolute joke. As for the rest, Thiem will have a good chance to reach a semi cause of his seed, but I still don't think he will. Stef and Bweeh are pretty strong but a QF with the big 2 is possible and then they'll show if they can take the next step. Zverev is too inconsistent, I can see him taking an early exit actually. The others haven't proved themselves as possible contenders. Rafa will probably be in the final. The other finalist could be Nole or Stef or somebody else, but it also depends on the draw.

How do you figure that Tsisipas made all the running? Matches are peaks and troffs, Novak simply timed his peak better than Tsisipas, it's that simple. It's equivalent to leading from the front in a 10,000 meter race and mis-judging your opponents attack over the last 400 metres. A solid and tactical game plan, together with timing is everything.

Well Novak was a break down in 3rd set also and Tsitsipas had break points for double breaks. Later he even served for match. Djokovic came all back. I thought even for him he raised a standard for biggest comeback

stefanos deserved this SF so much, but DJ’s experience overrode his excellent performance. I believe Sonego-Djokovic will be interesting

Know one 'deserves' to win. Tsisipas played extremely well but all to often, especially at the top echelon of any sport and especially tennis, a match outcome is often dictated by not how well you play, but how long you play well for, experience or no experience. Clay is not Novak's favoured surface, as hard court is not Rafa's, so Rafa is still favorite to win the trophy. Djoker got saved by the rain 100%. Stef would have rolled him if play hadn't cancelled. His level of play was consistent and high and there was no evident signs of it slipping either. Unfortunate that that's how the sport works. Koodos to Novak if he pulls off a title after double duty day as he'll have to most likely beat Nadal too.

While that is partly true but still Stefano's should've been able to close that third set...he had a ton of opportunities...you don't grab the opportunities against legends you lose. As simple as that.
