Titanic was actually heavily scripted, but most of the big plot points in the film were adlibbed by the actors, and made it in because, y'know, they're all such good actors. Like the scene when the boat sank, no one knew the boat was gonna do that! And all the other actors just went with it! That scene truly speaks to the ability of those actors

I'm 100% positive that the original Titanic was, in fact, improvised. Like, not the movie 'Titanic', but the actual boat. All those people just came up with it on the spot as it was happening. How they didn't win the Oscar that year is beyond me.

Really great short! Thoughtful script, love to see Joel’s Director muscles flexing even when he’s not on screen! Every actor in this one gave a great performance on characters we only got to see for a few minutes! I’d love to see these characters again!!!
