Apparently, Dodge isn’t legally allowed to sell vehicles designed only for drag racing, which explains why you can spend one extra dollar on a kit to modify the dodge demon to be able to drag race effectively.

Is crazy how this cars were built for this type of race. I really want a Demon but is hard to get one cuz they were limited 😢. I got to respect anyone who has a Dodge Challenger,Hellcat or Demon cuz those cars are expensive and luxury.

They only made a limited number of these and know everyone who bought one would spring for the extra buck. It's easy PR for the brand, and avoids state laws that wont allow racing slick tires on public roads. (For good reason) Other than that, nothing illegal about including the $1 kit with every car automatically.

I think the Challenger is awesome and most people love my plum crazy but some people just hate on it/me for no reason, even when they don't know who's behind the wheel. At this point I'm happy just to see someone say they like another car more than the Challenger it was up against without talking mad crap on the Challenger

I literally couldn't care less about the interior of the Demon. If it's functional and reasonably comfy, that's all I need. I won't lose sleep over whether the dashboard is plastic or metal embossed with diva details. This is the definition of a muscle car, an adrenaline-pumping, aggressively designed, fiendish exterior augmented with raw power. It's a piece of history and will one day be remembered as a beloved 21st century classic.

@@benisrood It really is. Still holds true to the classic late 60's, early 70's style, which let's be honest, was the greatest time in automobile history. The design of muscle cars back then was truly timeless and stunning. The Camaro until recently was like that as well. So I really respect Dodge for this great retro design and the fact that they are sticking with it!

My sister has a 2019 Durango and I’ve only drove it once and it’s like driving a living room. I’m more talking about if you’re spending 100k on a car that’s designed to go from here to there really fast you get what you pay for

I really don't get it. I received my factory ordered Challenger last month and as soon as I sat in it I was surprised as I had always heard people talk crap on the interior. I didn't think it was bad at all. Also yes I factory ordered one and never test drove one before so I didn't even know what the interior was like haha. I also only ever drove a manual semi truck before but I figured it'd be close enough so I ordered it with a standard transmission too. So far I have not once been dissatisfied with the interior.

I thought when he said "It's literally faster than falling off a cliff" that he was misusing the word "literally" so I calculated it and turns out the Demon accelerates at about 11.6 m/s^2 from 0-60 so it really is faster than freefall. Crazy.

Acceleration of gravity is 9.81 meters per second square for those that dont know. Cars dont accelerate at a constant pace like gravity does but at 9.81 meters per second squared you would get to 60mph at around 2.7 seconds

Wouldn't matter it's mostly going to people who will never drag race the car anyway so like Matt said it's shit at taking corners fast so you drive on regular roads you would need 840 horse you'll be good with the 808 and you won't need slicks you take those on the highway and it'll tear em up. So the production model is still a beast either way. But if you drag and you don't have that extra dollar you're not going to be smoking aventadors as easy.

It was maybe a mile away? not sure but not close. The sound was absolutely deafening. It was, shake the buildings and vibrate your chest loud. If you have ever been to a tractor pull and seen one of those 3 engine funny tractors pull a sled, it was like you were standing 10 feet from one of those....but remember, it was like a mile away.
