@@tonygrimes13 Correct Tony, but maybe elsewhere where Al has a Stream flowing, like for getting power to the Shipping Container Apartment area ! Plus the Secret Garden has the Spring that flows down behind the Harvest House that Supplies the water that the Animals now drink, don't know its volume or if worth tapping just for adding pressure, but an underground tank up there may be an idea !

Al, as a retired professional painter who painted and water blasted many a barn in cattle yards, you need to get a square rolling trash can for your pressure washer. You will need to put a hose adapter at the bottom of it to run a line to the washer. When you allow the tank to fill before you start the washer you will have the volume you need to run for a good long while. It will also double as a place to store your garden hoses.
@4Classie
@4Classie 14 днів тому
The garden hoses use is temporarily, water Hydrant installed near Barn, will soon be added, it must be 4' feet deep, so the digging waits for mud season to end !

Morning Al🫡 Thinking about safety: you could construct a permanent stairway against the right corner leading to the loft- nothing fancy, but sturdy. Gina should have easy access to that part of the shop - your daughter too! You could have a heart attack/stroke while up there, have an injury, etc. Would be $$ well spent. Thanks for your videos, Pat

Hello Al & Gina, at your “old place” you had “low to the ground, covered raised beds” covered with “hoop house style” hinged lids. If you bordered several garlic bed areas and put an “open” chicken wire covered hoop lid. The garlic could flourish, protected from the chickens scratching. Possibly…. a fall project.

Good afternoon DamogranHeart. My sister got her kitty back today. It's another beautiful day here. My estranged husband solved the problem they were having back at the farm. My son was using my car to get back and forth to college and pick his brother up from high school after rehearsal. My car broke down. Instead of trying to fix my car, my estranged husband bought them a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe. Now my son has a car again! My husband always said he has NO money. I don't know how he had money to do this. Surprise! He had told me he was planning on our kids having to buy their own cars to go to college. That was why I was rebuilding the engine of a car that was given to me so my oldest would have a car to go out of state to college with. The boys don't know how much the Santa Fe cost. At least that problem is solved for now! I always had to buy my own car during our marriage because he always told me he had no money to help me with a car. Interesting! I am not on his checking account and I just started getting a little over $1000 per month for disability each month. I'm so glad he helped them! That's what I was trying to do! Maybe he sees how crazy he was to expect that they somehow had to buy their own cars to go to college with? They are both straight A and advanced level students in school. Having to make car and car insurance payments while going to school was going to be really hard for them. They want to do well in college. Now I can fix my car when I get back. I work on it anyway!

Have you considered a folding staircase for the right hand side of the mesenagh. klapster space saving stairs a german company make some examples but I'm sure there are many local firms maybe even Kens carpentry could come up with one. Library style ladder on rollers? Attic stairs in the loft from an interior room? Chickens won't need seasoning on their eggs after all the garlic, just pepper...lol 😂😅 Love ya'll ❤

Just lay chicken wire over ur garlic bed and hold down with something, I used pieces of split logs, problem solved. I have a love hate relationship with free ranging my chickens for that reason, ....I do consider fencing in my gardens...🤷🤔

they do make a floor cleaner that fits onto the pressure washer at harbor freight or northern tool might work well on the shop and barn floor

You need to build a moveable bench like the one you had in your old shop where it had a space for the table saw and the cut off saw. You need to get those tools off the floor. After that it will be easy to build what ever else you need.

Just a thought as I watch you toss and slide items onto loft storage space ... Maybe get long strips of metal L-shaped strips ( sorry can't recall name of it, I'm old 😁). Put them on edge of loft floor to protect edge, paint job, and maybe assist with sliding stuff over. ???

Al, you should build another one of those hinged ladders that you had at the old homestead but make them like stairs.

If you don't want steps going up into the loft in your workshop because it would take up too much space maybe make a ship ladder that you can hang on the wall when not in use.

There is an industrial scrubber machine for concrete floors that would probably take care of that paint over-spray. They have different abrasive level pads that attach to the machine. The pad spins on the floor as the machine applies a soapy solution.
