World of Warcraft (WoW) Patch 10.0 & 10.0.5 Dragonflight raid healing guide. These are my tips when it comes to getting the most HPS during boss encounter. These are mainly aimed at new players starting raid healing in WoW.
Disclaimer: This video was initially going to be aimed mainly at Restoration Druids but I felt that a lot of the information could also be applied to most healing classes in WoW.

Make yourself familiar with Mouse-over makro as soon as possible. It is a huge difference and you can concentrate more quickly on "other things" like on going boss mechanics. It's like "fire-and-forget" if you know what I mean. It helped me alot. I even wrote my own makros (okay... copied them from IcyVeins..but changed them a little😅) before I switched to the Addon "Clique" (which does the same thing... create macros, but with only a few clicks)

Two easy steps to top the healing chart. 1. look at the chart, find out the top healer. 2. Murder him.

What addon do you use for when an ability comes off cooldown and show in the middle of your screen and then fades away?

I think dumping mana for the sake of dumping mana isn't necessarily the best way to put it, depending on what difficulty, fight and gear - but I do think you should think more about when to be using the expensive but strong spells compared to specific mechanics. The most important thing as a healer, in my opinion at least, is just making sure you know the fight, what mechanics are going to need more healing, which spells can maybe preemptively ramp up for (evoker, MW, druid fx). But at the end of the day, it's all about just gaming and getting the hang of things - if you kill the boss and you don't get a 100 log, it is what it is you know. Nice video, I'd never heard of the Lorrgs site, so I'll definitely be taking a look at that for fun!

care to share how to do the notepad style (top left of the screen) for all the major events such as using defensive ability with the respected time stamps on when to use those

You can add notes for CDS using Method Raid Tools addon. The timers and CD usage has to be manually added by yourself or the raid leader.

I’ve only ever been a situational healer since I made resto shaman my main when I came back for shadowlands. I noticed that all the other healers were using big CDs very early on. Am I playing it wrong?

you say "how you say" a lot. the words you use after you say "how you say" are always perfect. your English is very good. You dont need to say the words "how you say" all the time.

How do you dump mana on hpal? I can't seem to spend it because you just don't cast a lot of expensive heals.

Wait can you stack 2 potion inhibitor embellishments?

Without having a lariat or any other embellishment equipped yes you should because you can have 2 per character equipped at the same time.

@Seth Casavant interesting, I assumed embellishments were unique equipped but if they're not wearing 2 inhibitors is probably bis for every healer. Lariat isn't particularly good on a healer when you can get find any neck with leech being better.

@@Darkrampager I think you maybe right about the unique equipped but I think it’s for the gear portion like the gear itself will become unique equipped after applying the embellishment. Which will allow for two embellishments per character. At least that’s how I’m understanding it.
