I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this song, and the choice of the video is perfect. In fact, I couldn't resist finding out further into its origins. The video is from the film "Postman Blues," but I noticed that most synopses I came across didn't explain the woman's role in the story. I decided to watch the movie myself and put together her part while leaving out the Yakuza/Police part. The story unfolds as the letter carrier (Ryuichi Sawaki) ends up opening and reading a letter sent by a woman, setting off a chain of events. Realizing the significance of the letter, he resolves to deliver it. However, upon discovering that the intended recipient had moved, he makes the choice to track down the sender instead. His journey leads him to a hospital where he encounters the sender, Sayoko Kitagawa, a woman battling cancer with limited time left to live. In the midst of their unique circumstances, a tender romance blossoms between them, and together, they embark on joyful adventures, savoring life's simple pleasures. However, their moments together are tinged with melancholy, knowing the inevitable. In a promise, he vows to return the next day, but an unfortunate mix-up with the Yakuza and the police turns him into a nationwide fugitive, wrongfully accused of murder and drug trafficking. This is the song that reminds me of the old-school romance I dreamt of as a kid. I thought love happens only once in life, and that people, they stay a forever. that someone is exactly the way to wanted them to be. This song feels like a stormy day. everything seems amazing as everything rocks a swing, plants, trees, her hair, as if her scent is taken away by the wind. When I listened to this song for the first time, I was with a group of friends last year on 11th grade, they were very special people for me at the time, we sat down close to a lake while we were high, and the sky was in shades of pink and purple, that moment was so magical for me, and this song made it even more special. So I started to talk to this guy I met online in 2017. We've been talking about anything. We have the same interest in Japanese culture and language. We used to talk every day. Sometimes when we didnt talk for days because I had some tests, or mid-term, and final week, he would sent me a message that he missed me. The next day when I hadnt replied yet, he would say he missed me again. We promised to learn Japanese together (he was in International Language and Culture major). I told him Japan was the first country i wanted to visit. Then in June 2019 he went to Japan. I havent gone yet because i dont have enough money. When he was in Japan he told me he had a girlfriend (since 2018 and he told me a year later which it made me feel ache in my heart). He went to Japan to meet his girlfriend. Now we still talk each other but only once a month maybe? Last time we talked is last month. I hope he's doing fine. Edit March 15 2021 I feel ok with that now. I accepted the fact that he doesnt have to tell everything to me. we've just talked this morning. I told him love was never easy for me and he recommended a book about love for me😂

F*** I used to listen to this on repeat at a really low time in my life, and just, I stumbled upon it again, after years and like I was almost hesitant to play it again because I connected with it so much as a source of comfort then, and i remember partly the feelings I was going through, but just also the comfort from then. Things work out in their own beautiful ways just you, don't give up. Try and connect to things, nature, the string of a guitar, just listen to one note even for a little bit if that's all you can do, draw a little stick man or a smiley face or have a deep breath, rest your head on the wall, know it's there to support your weight and everything that is heavy on you it's not blocking you or keeping you in a box, use it's support and lean on it. Feel into it. All small things are progress. it's progress. Even just a thought change, picking up a few socks from the floor, cleaning your room, giving a compliment to someone, to yourself, giving yourself a hug and a warm tea. Space for yourself on a walk etc all things are special, important and worth it.
