Godskin Apostles is DEFINITELY GOATed

Godskin Apostles is the one that stuck with me. So epic and serene at the same time.

Regal Ancestral Spirit, 43:30, gave me chills when I first heard it. This song in particular really stood out to me and I even prolonged the boss fight to just listen to the beautiful song.

Godrick's theme is totally different to the rest, it has something that makes it unique

All the Dragon's theme is so good, the music captures the fact that they are huge beings that can squash you like a bug

The Rennala and Regal Ancestor Spirit Soundtrack really stood out to me for how beautiful and atmospheric they are especially in comparison to the other orchestral, epic tracks that build up over the course of their fights

Lichdragon fortissax hits different.. its a shame that small percent will encounter it due to fia's quest. It reminds me so much of Golden Sun osts relly heroic grand fantasy aura love it ! definitely top 3 !

ahhh, yess.. 1:03:21 is music to my ears. Mohg's theme reminded me of bloodborne for some reason and I love how his weapon skill is called bloodboon ritual. i haven't killed the final bosses but I already beat Melania. can't wait to listen to the final OST's of this masterpiece of a game. Update April 4, 2022: Just finished the game at 204 hours... the final boss theme is just wow...I am so happy i only used my mimic tear to fight the final boss. I got to enjoy that music with it's amazing scenery and how the boss fights without anyone overpowered killing EB in a few minutes. everything about that fight was gorgeous. even the ENDING MUSIC was perfect. bunch of credits, sure but the music was perfect to reflect on the long journey we've all had. in my case it started with bloodborne, then dark souls 3,1 & 2, sekiro and now elden ring. thank you Miyazaki and R.i.p Kentaro Miura... all of these masterpieces were made because you inspired Miyazaki, hope you feel proud for the impact that Berserk has in the world. and you guys? the best gaming community. you are all great, even the ones that troll with messages or invasions. i cant wait to see you all in the next fromsoft game my fellow ashen ones, good hunters, shinobis and tarnished lords. 🖤

rykard's theme is underrated imo, i love the whole volcano manor questline as a whole and it's such an epic end to it

Margit’s theme really brings back that feeling of first starting Elden Ring

From a single light scroll I've seen people call Godrick's track wholly unique and special, a popular and respected youtuber call Godskin Apostle's theme GOATed, someone relaying their positive experience with Renalla's and Ancestor Spirit's theme, a top ten list with the final bosses' theme at the top, and a whole ass essay on why this game's soundtrack is masterful.

I really like how the final battle theme goes from over epic to melancholic as you're reaching the end of your journey. Which fits really well lol.

Its Unbelievable how underrated Rykard OST is, its one of the most insane tracks ive listented in from software games

This soundtrack as a whole is very "heroic". It's very different from the other titles that either convey hopelessness and despair. It's kinda blends the same in some places though. The other titles were shorter so they can be individually tailored. Here most of the time, you hear a track for multiple bosses at least the rehashed ones. Just a different approach I guess.

Radahn's theme speaks for itself, quite literally. Farout my favorite of all of the themes

I appreciate Morgott’s theme for the fact that it mirrors Margit’s theme much like Morgott himself mirrors Margit. That is to say both Morgott’s theme and Morgott himself have that “Bitch you haven’t even seen my final form yet” vibe going

Rennala’s and the second part of the final boss were my favorite. The stage and music had me in pure awe the whole time. Ended up extending both fights cause I loved it so much haha

Godrick is such an ironic character, called a coward by everyone and yet is the best boss fight in the game, it is iconic, it is creepy in the phase 2 transition cutscene and at the same time genius, grafting a dragon head as hand, and his soundtrack is the best one in the entire game.

I could never get enough of Fire Giant's theme, mainly the first phase. It felt as you're battling a mighty foe, who happens to be the last of his kind. Quite epic and sorrowful at the same time.

I expect Astel's theme to sound like something from the Great One bosses and I was right. Put this boss in BB and no one can tell the difference. Strong semblance to Ebrietas' theme.

Oooh nice, godskin apostles is an absolute banger

A cool detail I caught is that in Margit's second phase, Morgott's leitmotif actually starts to take the lead in the track while in the first phase it's very subtle to even not present. I like to think that the reason for that is that in the first phase he feels no reason to put too much effort in the fight and focuses more on concealing his true identity. While in phase two, you actually put up a fight against Margit to the point where he starts to use more of his true power as Morgott to the risk of revealing who he is to an extent. It's why he starts using the holy sword and the holy hammer as well as the holy daggers, giving us a hint to his full moveset.

My best picks based on immersion : Erdtree Knights theme (surprising moment), Godrick's theme (most intimidating), Renalla's theme (the hypnotizing), Rykard's theme (a horror), Fallen Knights (pure chaos), Godfrey's theme (the cool one), The Final Battle (epic grand final)

I love Erdtree knights OST, it hypes us even at the very start of the game and have a very distinct sound.

I love how a lot of these sound like they could be a final boss theme. They are so climactic and grandiose. Regal Ancestor Spirit is so beautiful and calming. Feels like it would fit in any Studio Ghibli movie.

I love how Dragonlord Placidusax sounds so much like a Dark Souls remix of the various Dragon themes from Game of Thrones.

The intro to the second phase of Godrick is just mind-blowing.

Love how the themes are grouped by lore. Margit and the illusion of Mohg back-to-back, later it is Morgott and the real Mohg. Radahn with Malenia, Fire Giant and Beast Clergyman, even Placidusax the true first Elden Lord right before Godfrey. Very well put together.

Black Knives is so underrated. You can nearly hear the fear out of it. The Fear to see someone you love assasinated :D

Godskin Bosses is so good, and I’m also a fan of the music change from Radagon’s insane music to the Elden Beast’s graceful theme. Just hits different for me.

Morgott, the Omen King is not only my favorite boss, but his soundtrack is just absolutely amazing. The way it appears in his soundtrack when we fight him as Margit is so well done, and it makes listening to the Margit OST after the Morgott one so much richer. Easily my favorite, though followed closely by Godrick and then probably Mohg. All three of their themes communicate the lore and personality of each character so flawlessly and I absolutely love it. Morgott: desperate yet determined; Godrick: depressed yet insane; and Mohg: evil and loving it. Edit: Totally forgot about Radagon's/Elden Beast's theme. Also absolutely amazing. Talk about lordly and mystical.

I love Elder Ring's osts but for me Dks3 is unmatchable. Lorian and Lothric or The abyss watchers have the best ost ever.

Godrick tops this list, the shifting patterns and confused intensity that comes in and out is by far the best most reflective theme out of all the bosses.

I think Elden ring has honestly about as many noteable tracks as ds3 and BB (base game) but once you add the dlcs of each... and i would say the top five best of elden ring are overall less memorable as the top 5 from ds3 and BB BB : 1) Lady maria 2) Ludwig, the holy blade 3) Laurence, the first vicar 4) gherman, the first hunter 5) either ebrietas or living failures Ds3 : 1) Darkeater Midir 2) Slave knight Gael 3) Soul of cinder 4) Abyss watchers 5) twin princes / main theme. See ? I think we should wait until elden ring has a dlc before comparing. I think the two main reasons many of us find elden ring's music less memorable are because its willingly more classic epic orchestral music, but also because on average we die less, and don't enjoy the boss fights all that long.

Rykard’s theme feels like some otherworldly, malevolent hellscape. A roaring chorus, thrumming orchestral strings, booming and dissonant brass, and a haunting singular angelic voice piercing through it all. Truly an anthem to all that is unholy.

I love that this game has enough boss themes in its OST to match the length of some other full OSTs of games I love. Not a perfect game, but I've certainly never seen a game with this much content in it be THIS well-polished.

Some may find ER's ost less memorable, and i may agree for dungeon/gaol bosses and limgrave's (previously the mapwide) night theme, but come on... trumpets! Mostly live orchestra rather than mostly MIDI, just like Bloodborne! A completely new Phase 2 theme, to the point where MANY tracks don't even have a smooth transition from phase 1 to 2 because they just differ so much (see: Rykard, Godrick, Rennala, Hoarah Loux, Maliketh, etc.) The OST escalates from previous games as much as the runes given by the endgame bosses... Lord of Cinder gives 100k and Mohg, who's probably this game's nameless king (secret boss with slow attacks but hits like a truck), gives 420k lol. Rykard's phase 2 theme is Ludwig levels of intense and he's a damn gimmick fight

The Malenia 2. Phase OST is sooooo fire. The whole OST gives me Abyss Watchers Vibes which was my favourite boss back then.

I love this game and it’s soundtrack, so for fun I thought I’d share my opinions on all the boss themes. Opinion is stressed here. Also some boss name spoilers: Boss fight 1: 5/10 pretty generic and overall just not interesting. Boss fight 2: 6/10 better than the other, but still boring. Old warriors: 8/10 great theme with a good rhythm and tune. Erdtree knights: 7/10 good theme but just a little worse than the old warriors one. Fallen knights: 7/10 was gonna be a 6/10 but phase two was a lot better and that bumped it up. The Immured: 7/10 a good tune for fighting yourself and other tarnished enemies. The Accursed: 5/10 not really any rhythm at all just scary strings and brass the whole song. Grave Warden: 7/10 another creepy one, but this has rhythm and a great climax. Death’s kindred: 7/10 another ghoulish one, with yet another great climax at the end. Good for fighting boat boys. Dragon: 8/10 very intense, and a intimidating tune to hear every time you’re near a dragon. Good song. Fallingstar Beast: 7/10 the only thing keeping this out of 6/10 is the ethereal background noises, and the Astel motif snuck in there. Red Wolf of Radagon: 6/10 a fine tune for a fiery red dog. Just nothing too special. Erdtree Avatar: 8/10 like the sort of Erdtree motif going on between these guys and the knights. But I think this one does it just a little better, due to it being more intense. Also, second phase is quite good. Godskins: 10/10 Incredible theme, great choir, great climax for both phases, battling for the top 3 if not best song in the game. Also, start of second phase is a easy goosebump ride. Black Knives: 6/10 another dark tune, but not an incredible one. The choir was pretty good though. Margit, the Fell Omen: 8/10 the second phase carries this one, with the first phase mostly not being that interesting until near the middle/end. Great theme. Omen Illusion/Mohg the Omen: 8/10 great song, but it’s just missing a bit more pizazz that a later part has in spades. Lord’s Apparition: 9/10 a really great song that only has the problem of being too short. I’m a sucker for choirs, and the brass in this song is great. End of the song never fails to give me chills. Regal Ancestor Spirit: 10/10 we got another banger. This time, no heavy brass needed. This songs ambience and beauty speaks volumes. A song that does a great job at immersing you into the arena of this ancient being long past it’s age. Phase two is just pure art. Astel, Naturalborn of the void: 9/10 this one is mostly ambience, and more ethereal sounds, however, when it pops off, it REALLY pops off. And the first one I’m saying this, but the strings rule in this one. IMO, for the past songs, the strings didn’t carry as hard as they have in this one, except for the Ancestor spirit maybe. Also, second phase has a resurgence in some great brass, and truly gives me a spacial vibe from this otherworldly centipede. Ancient Dragon Lansseax: 8/10 on par with the regular dragon theme, if maybe just a tad better. Not much to say here. Lich Dragon Fortissax: 10/10 a gothiclly grandiose song with a powerful organ in the background at all times. Also yet again strings and choir are incredible in this song(and percussion was very good here too). And to top this all off, a super awesome 2nd phase. Love how dark it sounds. Sucks I encountered this boss at such a high level lol Morgott, the Omen King: 9/10 you know that you’ll win me over with adding a choir to a already very good theme. And second phase that is fit for fighting this King of a proud capital. Mohg, Lord of Blood: 10/10 once again, they know how to get to me with this sound track. Just add a choir to an already great song, and slap on a massive banger of a second phase. Fighting for top 3 of the game honestly. Godrick the Grafted: 9/10 great song, another one that has a good array of stings, choir and a bit of brass, with a super super strong second phase right off the bat, that cools down a bit before continuing to go off. Good song for fighting this twisted King. Malenia, Blade of Miquella/Goddess of Rot: 8/10 song that imo has a fine first phase before it explodes in the second phase during that cutscene. The rest of the second phase is good, but that start of the second phase is just oh so incredible(the damn strings are 👌🏻). Heard this song for nearly a week straight, but still good nonetheless. Starscourge Radahn: 9/10 I really love this one, but for me personally it isn’t a 10/10. With that out of the way, this song rules. Absolutely love the deep choir heard throughout it, and the super strong and deep orchestra, telling us that Radahn is a force not to be reckoned with. Also that second phase transition with the song along it is on its own level. And to top it off, I love how heroic the second phase is, like the orchestra is no longer playing the tune of Radahn, but the tune of you and Radahns legendary fight. God devouring Serpent/Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy: 10/10 probably my choice for best song in the game. I cant stress how much I love this song. It is super creepy, but unlike the other creepy songs that were mostly ok, this has a tune it follows, a soloist singer who sells the haunting atmosphere, and those strings. THOSE STRINGS sell this so hard with how frantic they are. Like they’re telling you that you should NOT be down here. Also, the climax of phase 1 is just awesome. And we aren’t even to the second phase. With the second phase, we now have a main focus on male choir, which throughout the entire song is just horrifically beautiful. Then, the percussion is just so well done as well. And on top of that strings are still wild and the climax of the second phase is one of if not the best from the game. Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon: 8/10 another atmospheric song that is just so good. IMO though it isn’t as good as the Ancient spirit. But still a beautiful and almost somber song with a pretty neat 2nd phase(that I don’t think is as good as the first but still fine). Fire Giant: 9/10 love how big the orchestra sounds here. Drums and brass carrying this song, which is a good thing since not many songs in Elden Ring do so, mixing up the formula in the game. Super good song, especially the second phase. Beast Clergy/Maliketh, the Black Blade: 8/10 a pretty calm song with a few hints of greatness in the first phase. Also I really love the ancient sort of vibe the first phase gives off, but it really pops off in the second phase. Super intense, yet still holding that calming and ancient tune in there somehow. Also the part at 1:39:04 is one of my favorite parts in I think the entire games soundtrack. Dragon Lord Placidusax: 8/10 a pretty good song with an obviously better and more intense 2nd phase, but about on par with the other dragon themes except lichdragon despite having 2 phase themes. It’s great, just not good enough sadly for this 2-headed, lazer-firing first true Elden lord. Godfrey, First Elden Lord/Hoarah Loux: 10/10 super great sounding 1st phase, truly a royal and fitting theme of the first Elden lord. However, what takes this to 10/10 territory is the second phase. Incredible brass here, and the strings with other instruments I don’t know make it sound almost Scottish or something. Like a Scottish barbarians war theme. The entirety of the second phase is just pure gold. Radagon of the Golden Order/Elden Beast: 10/10 such a great way to rework the main theme! Super intense and somehow more intense than the main menu theme, with a dash of new stuff added near the end of the first phase. And the second phase…. Man. It’s just. So. Beautiful. The harp. The solo singer soon being followed up by an ethereal choir. The orchestra swelling with the choir in these parts. The song giving you a sense of finality, somberness, and obliviousness. Obliviousness to what we truly faced. To what summoned it. To what is out there beyond the Lands Between. Also, the strings at the very very end are so incredibly somber.

The second half of godrick's theme is so intense and epic, such an amazing track to compliment an insane moment in the game.

Beast Clergyman is very underrated in the comment section. That fight is so hard and something about the beautiful music that goes with the scenery and not the pace of the fight is awesome

Rykard’s 2nd phase theme holds a special place in my heart. But the mixing is important. There’s an amazing heartbeat-like rhythm to it that can easily be drowned out on certain speakers.

Godrick the Grafted I will add that, among the minibosses, the Night's Cavalry really stood out to me for their music. I think it's called "Fallen Knights".

I think Erdtree Knights is my fav. Gives me goosebumps. I’ve also got a one in a million clip boss fight kill using an ability (faraxxes lighting) while simultaneously dodging a Loretta’s bow attack. It’s pretty sick. Using the ability doges her attack and kills.

Erdtree Knights gonna hold a special place in my heart, first time I played the game I had my 500w klipsche sub and surround pounding my head and this comes on and I was mindblown.....then I died lol
