Its very peaceful, reflective and great in its own right, but less impactful in an ost with fucking Mohg, Godrick, Rykard, Radahn, Godfrey, etc. I have the elden ring vinyl, and it sounds great on it.

Excellent ranking! It's so hard for me to pick favorites but many of my favs are on here. I wish Dragonslayer Armor had a better 2nd phase ost, because the first phase was probably one of my favorite intros to any fight ever. Thanks for linking all the wallpapers too, those are so cool!

For me, Laurence, Ludwig and Gael are top 3. The entire Larence theme is epic. The second half of Ludwig is beyond just epic, and it makes my adrenaline pump. The entire Gael theme is epic. But the part when he explodes with a million skulls being unleashed from him (Third phase if I remember correctly?). That part might be my favorite piece of souls music

Got to throw in a shoutout for my all-time favorite Soulsborne track, Firelink Shrine. Nothing encapsulates more the pain and misery and pervasive bleakness that is DS1. It was the perfect introduction to the Soulsborne universe for me.

Gehrman one isn’t really about melody(although it’s amazing), it’s about emotions. Merciful hunter Gehrman trying to save another hunter from nightmare he is suffering, and at the same time, you are trying to end his nightmare… This song is full of emotions and gets me chills like every time i listen to it…

@@aryaeliadel3094Same. Ludwig is a masterpiece, but Laurence's theme, just as Gwyn's theme, represent the franchise themes as a whole: Obsession, tragedy, guilt, corruption, fear, fragility of humanity and the complete loss of humanity itself.

Sanguinius would be Laurence definitely. "SAN-GUI-NE SAAA-AAAAAAAA-NCTUM" fits pretty well with Blood Angels due to holy blood and all that.

Godskin was as like the only good ost in Elden ring.. that game was a disappointment imo, but maybe I shouldn’t be comparing it to bloodborne and ds3

@@Danthelegionmaster the only ost that ever moved me in Elden ring was the godskin dudes, and even then that’s not a song I would just put in. Call me a weirdo virgin but I still listen to bloodborne and ds3 soundtrack when working out or even driving alone lol. Shit gets me so pumped and the songs have these crazy progressions, literally cannot say the same thing about Elden ring just from my experience alone. Maybe it’ll grow on me in the future but one playthru in and I only liked one song

Dark souls is the shadow of shadow of colossus, how it’s all about the boss fight experience, nothing else really matters. It’s sad that Elden Ring’s boss music didn’t really leave any impressions on me, except for Radagon (since his song was the extended version of the main menu theme, it stuck out the way it does when Unravel plays at the end of season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul), and Melania (because she felt the most “dark souls” to me of all the bosses). I love Elden ring, but the boss music just didn’t impress me like it always has in the other soulsborne games. I think it’s because they had so many bosses, and a lot of them were really generic, so I think the music design suffered since so much music was designed for generic bosses instead of uniquely crafted ones that had their own in-depth stories and reasons.

This is a fantastic list but if I'm being honest, nothing tops Radagon & Elden Beast for me. It just hits different, anytime it comes up in a playlist (I usually listen to these while working) I have to stop everything I'm doing and just appreciate the song. And when I heard it the first time in game, with the battles that accompany them, man, what an EXPERIENCE. Elden Ring in general had an amazing soundtrack and so much beautiful imagery that just went so well together to create an incredible playing experience. The Leyndell theme is my favorite non-boss song from the game, I listen to it daily for hours. Ah music, I love it so much.

Exactly my feelings! Sir Alonne track here is also really great I didn't know that one since I didn't play DS2. It's not in this list but first part of Dragonslayer Armour also gives off the same vibe.

Oceiros, the consumed king's theme is the most underrated theme in fromsoft games ever. I cant believe its not even in the top 20...
