I have loved Sir Elton John my entire life since the 70's

One of my biggest regrets in life is not getting to see this man perform live before he stopped touring. I get emotional listening to him. So much emotion goes into his music. One of our greatest performers of all times. Thank you, sir Elton John.

As a black man in America, I love rap, R&B, and soft rock. I grew up listening to Elton John. I started with his Rock of The Westies album and was hooked ever since then. That was back when I was in jr high school in the 70's. It is always good to hear real music again. "NSEN" (no special equipment needed) Elton can make his live performances sound better than the recorded song.

I'm a sixty-year-old man right now. But when I was a teenager I was severely molested by my stepfather. And the only thing that kept me from killing myself was sitting in the closet with the headphones on listening to Elton John and his wonderful music. I know I'll never get the chance but I'd like to thank him and give him a hug and tell him he is my knight in shining armor. And it's because of him and his wonderful music that I'm still here today. I just finished watching Elton John's retirement concert. His last concert performance before retiring from the stage, if you can believe it. And he still sounds fantastic. Then I came here. Only to find a video of Elton John singing "Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me". At this same particular moment in time, in which he is retiring from the public stage. And when his Sun as it were, has indeed begun to go down. At least, in the way it does during the sunset of our days. And sunsets are amazingly beautiful. I wouldnt miss seeing a sunset, for anything, if I can help it. It just seems very synchronistic and prophetic to me. Brrrr! A shiver just went down my spine, ya'll. A goose, walking over my grave, I expect, as my grandmother would've said. Dont ask me what that means. She just used to say it, if someone shivered or had goosebumps, unexpectedly. She didnt explain it. Well, whatever the reason, I'm glad to be listening to him singing this lovely song, right now. No matter what time it is. This, is timeless.

An amazing singer, pianist, and philanthropist. Heaven help the music world should this amazing talent ever! I found Elton's music at the age of 10/11 after my family moved from a farming town/area to "the big city." I would spend money I made babysitting, throwing newspapers, and doing odd jobs around the neighborhood to purchase his albums, and 45's! He may have originated in the U.K., but he, and his music. is for all the world! I've seen him play live with his (almost) all original band, and also saw him when he toured with his piano -- no other band members/mates. Both were AMAZING. I know he's enjoying life with his husband and two boys, and is all but retired, but one can still wish that there might be a time and place to see him once more! All of my love to Sir Elton John!
