As an employee in retail, i will tell you that what the son did with the hot food is called Theft by consumption which is a big no no for it is still theft and shoplifting. The son may not get in trouble because of his age, but the mother in that situation would be punished for it. Quick note: Makes you wonder if that entitled mothers friends would agree with the mother (If they know she acts like this), or are actually really smart people and know how that stuff actually works. because you can clearly tell that the mother either has never worked in retail or has never seen the hot food items being weighed for the price.

Story 3 - So here's a perspective that's probably going to be pretty controversial, but here we go. OP, you probably aren't doing as much good trying to help him get organized as you think you are. A lot of people with ADHD have trouble staying organized, it's a very common trait of the disorder. But coming in and "fixing it" probably isn't helping. You did his laundry, which is great. But you left dog hair on it. Instead of the mentality that he should be grateful with what you did, you should consider whether you actually helped him if what you did didn't actually fix the problem of him not having clean clothes. If getting the dog hair out is too much work for you, then just don't do the laundry. He will eventually do it and he can do it the way he feels it needs to be done. The same mentality applies to any task you are doing for him. It's great you want to help, but if what you are doing isn't actually solving the problem, then it isn't really helping. People do this a lot when dealing with neurodivergant people. You feel they should be grateful because you are "helping" without considering whether the help is wanted, needed, or actually solving any problems. So I think OP needs to sit down with the boyfriend and discuss what would actually be helpful for him if she really wants to help him. Organizing his kitchen probably doesn't actually help him. Doing his laundry but leaving things still dirty doesn't help him (I don't get this because I have several cats and I manage to get the cat hair off of my clothes when I wash them just fine). An air purifier isn't going to do anything about the dog hair issue, but maybe a reminder to run the roomba once a day would (can't you program them to run on a set schedule anyway?). If the dogs sleep in the bed, then the bedding needs to be washed more frequently than OP might be used to washing it. Etc.

Story 3 sounds like OCD.. and gf needs to accept that's how he is if she wants to live with him.... There's nothing worse than being told that a person will do something to help out and you still have to go back and redo things with a busy schedule..... At that point you might as well do it yourself rather than getting anxiety over a "mess"
