Erik Jones crash just shows how much NASCAR has evolved. His wreck was exactly like Dale’s. Car behind spins him, head on into the wall, holds onto wall for a little bit, and ends up in the grass.

So glad Jones is good but damn did anybody else see that #45 pedal to the metal, his in car cam was insane!! Reddick will win a championship, once they get the pit crew in order!

So glad Jones is okay, ironically it isn't the first time someone in that 43 car has complained of back issues since I started watching. (First race was the 2016 Championship). Almirolas hit that night at Kansas was HARD!

I realize that hindsight is 20/20 however if Ty Gibbs had not jumped up in front of Kyle in the remaining laps, KB may have had a chance as that line was carrying some serious momentum at the time. However once again, Ty just can’t seem to stay out of his own way, or anyone else’s for that matter.

Commercials were insane!! Seemed like every 10 laps another commercial break. Thank goodness I have Nascar live. Got to ride shotgun with whoever I want plus team audio! It’s a must now

Yesterday was strange, Kyle Busch was fast, Gained positions on pit road, had fast stops and no pit road penalties from the drivers part.

Scary crash indeed. So similar to the wreck that killed Dale Earnhardt. Thank goodness for the improved safety equipment. I’m glad Erik is going to be okay.

Talk about back injuries and the 43 Car Aric Almirola was hurt pretty bad too With his back. Glad he was ok . I hope Erik is OK.

That Jones wreck scared the hell out of me. It was so vicious and the fact that fox took so long to give an update was scary. They didn’t show the in car camera either. The only shot they showed after the wreck was of Jones’ car with the window net still up. Scary stuff

We owe a ton to the late great Dale Earnhardt for the safety features that allowed Jones to walk away from that wreck. Thank you Dale.

Nascar deserves a pat on the back on this one. 23 years ago that same exact wreck took the life of the greatest driver in nascar history.

When you take a sudden hit like that, muscles stretch and start to spasm, it gets worse for a few days after and can be an issue. That was a big hit.

Man being an erik jones fan is brutal. Dude gets consistently screwed by his pit crew, team and bad luck despite always driving his ass off. Great dude with a real talent all to get blamed for a bad push and people saying he’s garbage. Rough. My man Erik will break through one day

While at TMS, I stood near Kyle Busch's car when a couple of his crew guys came to the car to do the final prep work. One of those crew members set the top half of their uniform on the spoiler and deck lid, an official immediately has him remove it and set it down elsewhere. It seemed clear to me, they're watching closely for, and take very seriously, the potential post-inspection "tweaks" teams might try to get away with. What Hendrick's guys did, might've been intentional, or might've been inadvertent. One thing I'd be curious about, was the guilty crew member a regular or a replacement.

You need to get Larry Mac, to explain what the guy was doing with the rail. Hey that'd be cool, having a Larry Mac segment.

I think Jones will be fine, even with the safer walls that was a vicious hit. On a lighter note on the last lap of the Xfinity race Riley Herbst told Hallie Deegan to hold his Monster Energy while he went for the win!

Very glad Jones is ok. Reddick won in one of the dumbest ways possible and Ford gave the win away.

That Eric Jones wreck was absolutely insane. I too am so thankful for the safety advances since 2001 including the Hans device and the soft walls. I would not be surprised to see Reddick when more championship style races and be a factor in the final four for the championship. I personally think he would make a great champion and has really been coming home as of late.

Eric, I have found myself watching and really enjoying the Xfinity races this year. I'm old enough to have a fondness for the previous couple car generation and I feel like the Xfinity cars are closer to the NASCAR we grew up loving. Maybe you could do a short segment on the Xfinity races. Keep up the great work, really enjoy your content.

I have 3 compression fractures in my back. They were repaired twice and again they broke. Surgeon said it was too risky to rebuild again. So basically I now have to live with the pain for the rest of my life. Being 65, I am hoping at times the end comes sooner than later. Since the beginning of April I have been unable to get out of bed at least 5 times due to the pain.

Really glad Jones is okay. That was a nasty hit.

Erik Jones is so underrated, hope he’s alright

Underrated call that no one has mentioned, Swiderski called Suarez in to pit at the end of stage 1 with 2 to go while down a lap running with the lead pack. It allowed him to not lose the lap and take the wave around. It allowed him to almost get a top 10 had he not been a victim of McDowell.

I agree with your picks ALMOST 100%; I'd move Keselowski up to 6 and scootch everyone from 9-6 down one spot. Then I'd swap Hamlin with Truex. Just some minor adjustments because I think Keselowski is going to start to lock in by late season. Otherwise, I love these picks.

Larson and Team 5 is going for the regular season points title. You never see a Hendrick team go after stage wins as much as he has been and I love it! Finally going for playoff points every week. 5 stage wins and over 100 stage points proves it!

Chastain would have finished fourth and led laps before the big wreck on the last lap. Wrecks on the last lap have taking away 3 top 4 finishes for the 🍉 man at Daytona, Texas, and Talladega.

I have actually been run over by a 10k lb. truck that was only going 30mph. It knocked me out but I felt okay. For about 2 weeks. Then the back pains started. So I know what Erik is going through. Keep an eye on that back.

Jone’s wreck was harder than Earnhardt’s . When I seen Earnhart’s , I viewed his car coming more straight coming towards me and couldn’t believe that he wasn’t going to walk away from it. Really surprised because I’ve seen many that had hit harder from my points of view.

The penalties make sense as they are different things, just happen to be related to the same parts of the car. I couldn’t tell you which has more affect and which could potentially be more dangerous if it were to affect the safety of the car in anyways

I think this injury for Jones is not serious like Bowman or Hamlin But I won’t be surprised if he misses the next week or two to recover. Or if he races with a reserve driver on standby

It's incredible how NASCAR knows how dangerous the Gen7 is and yet, the superspeedway package they created to this day encourages a dangerous amount of contact. It's absolutely ridicilous. What was once a safety measure since the 80s, is now being used purely for entertainment and without any care for the safety and well being of the drivers. Absolutely pathetic

110 stage points at this time of the season is insane to me with "parity" being the car.
