@@Black0raz0r I mean Hollywood has been at this type of thing for years, and I'm pretty sure this is BSGs first venture into cinema. It's not so much that it's unreal for BSG, it's more sad for Hollywood being so shit at their only job. I mean think how impressive it would be if a bunch of Hollywood film makers banded together to create a game on par with tarkov.

I mean, the Raid series is really compelling in terms of the battle scenes and very well-done in that regard, but I don't think it's a fair comparison to the traditional film industry as a whole. The production was professional, not the game devs out in the woods with DSLRs and gimbals. What's different than "Hollywood" are the *production decisions* to be more authentic than you're going to find from a movie studio with the money men primarily focused on getting a return on their investment out of the general public. BSG made this for players of the game, not for Karen and Brad looking for a diversion from everyday life.

and they didnt put the series behind a paywall like netflix etc. just used it as an ad for the game and casually put it on youtube

Эти "американские фильмы" снимаются так, потому что это упрощает процесс съёмок и удешевляет их, зачастую. Условную спецтехнику и декорации зачастую легче и дешевле отрисовать, чем арендовывать и строить. Другой вопрос, что в данном случае съёмка на натуре это безусловный плюс и, по сути, единственный выход, ибо есть куча примеров отечественных "блокбастеров", где спецэфекты выглядят мягко говоря не лучшим образом :)
