My top 5 removing the UK for non biased results (it would be number 5)warning opinions ahead: 5- Germany- while imperfect I really enjoyed this piece. Its sweet and calming. It just needs a few tweaks and I'd absolutely put it at n°2 4- Australia- it was... funny. I really liked it. The song is well sung but not enough for top 3. 3- Norway- I like it alot. It's fun, energetic and the Norwegian language doesn't feel forced. No wonder it won the public vote. 2- france- the message behind it is well presented and the dude can sing. No one can say other wise. Hounrable mentions: North Macedonia Azerbaijan UK Switzerland Slovenia 1- Russia- I just loved his voice and song. I just felt the lyrics and nothing felt off. MY TOP 41 After the Show 1. North Macedonia - I was so worried they were going to mess up the staging but damn did they deliver. I don't think they deserved to win at ESC, but they were my personal winners. (=) 2. Netherlands - Just Speechless. Congratulations Duncan!! (=) 3. Australia - Absolutely phenomenal staging. Surprising climber for many people! (+9) 4. Italy - Vocals were a bit off. Amazing performance otherwise (-1) 5. Azerbaijan - The added ethnic note near the end really added to the song. Great staging as well. (+4) 6. Albania - Performing 2nd obliterated their chances. The staging was quite lacklustre but the song and flawless vocals made up for it. (-1) 7. Norway - I hated it at first but seeing them up there enjoying themselves, having a good time, and singing their hearts out was truly incredible. (+25) 8. Malta - Performing 1st was always going to kill her chances. Vocals were a bit shaky but the staging was amazing. (-2) 9. Czech Republic - The box staging was very, very creative and Albert's charisma on stage was amazing. (+17) 10. France - Bilal's interactions with the performers and his massively improved vocals really improved this entry a lot. (+11) 11. Spain - A fine performance. Great use of props and great overall atmosphere (+3) 12. Belarus - The fact that Zena designed all the choreo herself whilst also keeping flawless vocals and incredible confidence on stage is just mindblowing. (+5) 13. Serbia - Flawless vocals as always. The staging was stunning, looked very heavenly. (+6) 14. Latvia - My guilty pleasure. They didn't do anything special but they didn't mess up either. Quiet and enjoyable performance. (-3) 15. Denmark - Completely undeserved hate. She brought exactly what was expected. She didn't do much different from her NF, but her vocals did improve. (+7) 16. Switzerland - The staging and choreo was kinda lacklustre. He was struggling with his singing through the dance even though it wasn't that tiring of a dance. (+8) 17. Slovenia - They didn't bring anything new. Vocals were normal, stage was a bit empty (-9) 18. Sweden - Overrated. He didn't bring anything special. (-3) 19. Poland - They could have done so much more for their staging instead of a slideshow of their faces. Their vocals were great as usual. (-3) 20. Greece - Vocals were very lacklustre the entire Eurovision season. She didn't bring anything too special to the competition. (-13) 21. Russia - Overrated. There's absolutely nothing special about Sergey's performance apart from his great vocals. That unnecessary cluster of mirrors that had no correlation to his song. (+15) 22. Austria - The staging was beautiful and her vocals were pretty nice. Didn't leave too much of an impact unfortunately (-4) 23. Romania - Her hands and facial expressions were all over the place and it ruined everything. Vocally she was great. 24. Hungary - I thoroughly enjoyed Joci's performance. The beautiful stage along with his great vocals gave a very pleasant and warm feeling. (+11) 25. San Marino - The staging pulled this song through. Serhat may not know how to sing but damn can he pull off one hell of a performance. (+3) 26. Cyprus - I have absolutely no idea what Tamta was doing. She was out of tone and struggling to sing even with very simple choreo. The staging was very disappointing. (-22) 27. Georgia - though I don't really like the song, his vocals were on point and the staging was very effective and contributed greatly to the entry. (+12) 28. Germany - they were a bit too passionate. Their song would have been more appropriate with staging on the main stage and not on the path. (-3) 29. Israel - Pretty great staging but his vocals were a bit dodgy near the end. (-2) 30. Iceland - not my cup of tea. Didn't expect any more or any less from them. 10th is a deserved position. (=) 31. Lithuania - His vocals had very little mistakes. Staging was a little below average. Enjoyable performance. (+7) 32. UK - expected result. They didn't try anything too spectacular with staging but his vocals weren't bad. (+1) 33. Moldova - the staging was a pleasant throwback to 2011. She performed like she did before. Great vocals, nothing special apart from that. (+1) 34. Montenegro - They tried their best and had great charisma on stage. (+6) 35. Belgium - very, very, very disappointing performance. Nerves got the better of Eliot and his vocals were extremely shaky. No idea where they were going with that staging either. (-22) 36. Armenia - extremely disappointing. Her vocals were wasted on rehearsals and she crashed and burnt in the semi. The staging was very disappointing as well. (-26) 37. Portugal - didn't expect any more or any less from him either. (-6) 38. Croatia - they kept the stupid wings. Made him look like an absolute joke. Good vocals I guess. (+3) 39. Estonia - Very lazy. They relied entirely on that storm animation as their staging and his vocals fell extremely flat in the second half. (-10) 40. Finland - I'm looking away from their performance. Sebastian's vocals were very weak, and the staging with that weird lady was just completely irrelevant. (-3) 41. Ireland - Great ideas for staging but she didn't deliver it well. Sarah was either very nervous or she just somehow managed to stay off tune for the entire song, which is incredibly difficult considering 22 was one of the easiest songs in the contest to sing.
