Thanks for the video, this is extremely helpful info. One comment about pasting into vi/vim: make sure you are already in Insert mode before pasting by either hitting 'i' (insert) or 'a' (append). The 'a' in 'api' is actually interpreted as the append command, which is why the 'a' doesn't get copied. It may also be beneficial to run the command ':set paste' to make things paste cleaner.

in the 30 days before, i studied ~2-5 hours a week (so pretty light and usually at 2x speed) but i also worked hands-on with k8s in my day job. with no experience, I'd say take the kodekloud course at a comfortable pace, then take the additional steps i describe in the video. everyone studies at their own pace, but if you're able to get all that down you'll have no problem w/ the cert. good luck!

I am checking killer coda environment, it opens a shell in front of you only . There are no particular scenarios we have to solve . Am i right ? Can u advise further ?

If you're looking for the killer coda practice scenarios (not the mock exam), head to this url killercoda.com/killer-shell-cka and click any of the scenarios BESIDES the first one (playground).

I have scheduled my exam very soon.I am planning to use an ONE External monitor(connect to my laptop) with External Keyboard and Mouse connected as laptop screen bit small. Is this allowed?. Thanks in advance.
@ascode-com
@ascode-com Рік тому
Under this page docs.linuxfoundation.org/tc-docs/certification/faq-cka-ckad-cks#what-are-the-system-requirements-to-take-the-exam , they state that one ACTIVE monitor is allowed (either built in or external). So I presume what you're asking is allowed provided you disable your laptop's built-in monitor during the test. Hope this helps!

@@srinurao6918 one thing to watch on this is to use an external microphone e.g. ensure your webcam had a mic, as most laptops mics disable when the screen is closed

Good video with some handy tips. I'm preparing for the exam, the only thing is getting annoying is stuff like ingress (creating the service, ingress). But maybe the best approach is to take the exam and see what happens. Luckily there the documentation is always an useful backup.

Both acloudguru and kodekloud require monthly recurring subscriptions. Isn't there any other resource that is free. Have already paid for the CKA exam bundle but the website of the linux foundation is seriously non-engaging and the training (which I found with difficulty) is more of text based rather than video training.
